🏨  has short staysFine for a workation, but significant turnover works against coliving principles for a cohesive community; a longer minimum stay supports better interactions. What is coliving? ⌨️  no dedicated workspaceNo issue if you're okay at a dining table, or will go to a nearby coworking, else not really intended for productivity. 🤷  ranks poorlyAs a 'coliving' this space likely doesn't meet expectations — yet may be acceptable if you're not expecting too much. The Tiers-Lieu L’Arbre is a unique place, where you come to experience more than just a stay. A peaceful and committed place, perfect for a timeless break. It's neither a hotel nor a restaurant, but a collective living space, simple and sincere. You'll meet cyclists, volunteers, families, backpackers, curious people... all united by common values: ecology, autonomy, culture. The program is always lively and interesting—workshops, open-air cafés, work camps, meetings, and more. The common areas are lively and welcoming, the rooms simple but functional. There's a good internet connection. The beds, both in dormitories and private rooms, are comfortable, in a peaceful setting, surrounded by nature. Just a stone's throw away, an organic farm and an organic milk producer reinforce the local and responsible roots of the place. The kitchen is shared and equipped. Guests can cook their own meals using local, zero-waste products, often sourced from the neighboring farm. And for more general supplies: the farmers' market (La Ferme de Deux Mains, Inès' cheeses and dairy products, Sophie's jars, sourdough bread, etc.) offers a variety of locally sourced and alternative treats. For practical needs, the Super U in Port-en-Bessin is a 5-minute drive (or 20-minute walk), making it easy to run additional errands. And every weekday lunchtime, for just €5, you can share a vegetarian meal (again, anti-waste) with the third-place team and the farmers: a truly convivial moment. If you're looking for a human, committed, and off-the-beaten-track experience, this is a real gem. Avoid, however, if you're expecting traditional service.
Probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Super chill place with great staff who super nice. A nice community feel. It’s more like staying in someone’s house rather than anything else which I quite liked the feel of. I would recommend this place and only left today but already want to go back. Rooms are good. I shared with someone which I don’t mind, not sure how it is for other rooms. Service was good as well, you pay 5 euro for lunch and dinner which is pretty good since it’s all organic stuff. And location is great. Roughly 1km from the coast. Cheers for having me.
Friendly welcome We felt at home. Comfortable beds in the dormitory or for couples. Situated in a peaceful green setting. You can eat and cook on site. There's everything you need for a pleasant stay. The sea is just a few kilometers away. In short, a relaxing break to recharge your batteries. Thank you, Marine and Adrien.
A superb, very friendly karaoke evening 😍 looking forward to next Tuesday
I attended the 1st Festival sur la Branche in Commes and I had a great time 😁😁 over 2 days, you will eat there, you will do a lot of things there and above all you will listen to good music, that of our region! But not only... Jazz but not only... To discover 😁☀️🎶🎼
Excellent discovery workshop on mushrooms
Very nice with varied program of activities/workshops.
