I absolutely loved my stay at the coliving! The house is stunning and in an ideal location in Funchal. The rooms are super comfortable, very clean, and beautifully decorated. But what really made the experience special were the incredible hosts, Eli & Lulu, and the warm, welcoming community — they made my stay truly unforgettable.
We had an amazing stay at the Madeira Friends Co-Living house. We were lucky enough to stay in the studio, for a couple this was perfect to have our own space, but also use of the main house, and opportunity to socialise with other guests - made some great friends in such a short amount of time, loved the 'family' dinners, pizza night being a highlight! Couldn't fault the facilities, everything was clean and well looked after. I practiced yoga on the top terrace with views out to sea - it was magical! We will be back, thank you to Eli, Lulu & the whole Madeira Friends team, you've created such a special community.
A really nice place to spend time on Madeira! The house itself is really cool and especially the terrace is amazing as you can spend wonderful time here chilling and looking on the ocean. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming which is created mostly by a fantastic host Lulu. Also you really feel that you can get any help from Eli and even join some trips together for which I’m really thankful. In general you can just come and it’s so easy to join the community and find some cool events in every week. The house is nicely located - evening walks to the ocean promenade or even nice hilly loops with levadas are reachable on foot - you just need to check the map properly. Highly recommended!
I had nothing but a great experience at Madeira Friends CoLiving. The whole team made everything smooth and easy from start to finish. Coming to Madeira for the first time, I immediately felt plugged into the community, there was always something happening and plenty of opportunities to connect. The house itself was warm, cozy, and full of kind, open-hearted people who made the stay even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a space to connect with like-minded people, in a great location close to the center yet in a calm, laid-back neighborhood.
I stayed at Madeira Friends while working remotely and it honestly felt like the perfect setup.
My room was spacious and quiet, with a big bed and a desk where I could work comfortably.
The house has everything you need, a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room, and a beautiful balcony with a view (plus a little gym corner).
The owner and community manager were super friendly and made me feel really welcome from day one.
It’s a great spot if you want to mix remote work with a relaxed island vibe and meet like-minded people.
Would definitely recommend! ☺️
