I stayed here for three weeks in September as a working nomad and very much enjoyed the coworking stay. The family who owns the property are extremely kind and accommodating. We even celebrated some birthdays while I was there and it felt very close like family. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned often, with good wifi. There is also a coworking space with the best views of Volcan de Fuego and Acatenango. The kitchen has everything you need to make all your meals with plenty of personal storage. The town is a short uber ride away or you can walk 30 minutes making the area where the house is quieter and more relaxed. This is a great place to meet other working travelers and spend some time in Antigua.
We stayed at this property during their opening month and had a really great experience! The property itself is very nice as you can see in the pictures, has a few different coworking and hangout spaces, and a nice view of the volcano from the roof deck. It's a little further out from Centro in Santa Ana which can be a pro and a con; it takes longer to walk places, but you are away from a lot of the street noise and there are some great trails nearby. Having stayed a few other times in Antigua I enjoyed the change of scenery. I'm not sure if they will always be there, but the hosts were friendly and very inviting as well.
Stayed here for a month as the property transitioned to a Nomadico colive - highly recommend! It’s a really beautiful property with very kind, thoughtful, present hosts. Great spot, a little outside of centro but I really enjoyed both the walk into town and the peace and quiet of Santa Ana.
I absolutely loved staying at this house. The property is beautiful and so serene. The rooms were really comfy and the coffee station was great for early mornings. The house was about a 25 minute walk from town and felt really safe.
I stayed here for a week in April and I’m coming back! I am a nomad and I stayed here as a Verifier for Nomadico to check out Casa Buho to make sure it’s a good fit for the nomad life.
Not only did I fall in love with Antigua, but also this “house” and the family and staff! The house is very beautiful and peaceful with views of the active volcano! There is plenty of space to work and be productive but also spaces to relax and unwind.
It’s only about 25-30 minute walk to get to the main area downtown. There are SO many cafes and restaurants and things to do! Lots of nature and volcano hikes as well.
The family and staff are very welcoming and friendly- most speak English but some staff only speak Spanish, but I was still able to communicate. (I’ll be taking Spanish classes when I get there in August.) I will be there for two months - August and September as the community host, and I am looking forward to seeing the family and to explore more of Antigua!
