I stayed here for 3 months and loved it!! Hosts both Manu and Giedre are amazing people and always happy to help out whether it be around the house or the tour guide for around the local cities. Events with other co-livers are hosted regularly from chill movie or game nights in the house, to food and drinks down local towns or hikes across the country - they do it all there is even google map saved folders for hikes, restaurants, cafes etc to help navigate your way around alone too And everyone I met while i was there was super nice and chill too The house its self is sooo spacious- the pics dont do it justice Overall recommend to anyone looking for a productive, yet social environment
NomadUnion is a relative small coliving but Manuel and Giedre plan activities to engage the community feeling. They are very helpful and willing that we feel like home. The house has big community areas: kitchen, living room and coworking space. It's great to have a small desk in the room to have calls, so the coworking is quiet. Great swimming pool and always clean thanks to the robot :-) The coliving it's surrounded by other houses outside Biot. Biot it's at 20 min walk where you can enjoy the nice village and have lunch or dinner there because it's plenty of restaurant. Antibes is at 20 - 25 min by bus. Although I had a car, a lot of times I went walking to the beach / train station (20 min) and go back with bus. Been in this location has a very positive thing: it's very quiet.
I had such a great time in the south of france with Giedre and Manuel in their lovely coliving! You can really tell that they give their best and all their heart for this place. ❤️ Villa: The place is well equipped, super tidy and clean. I loved my room, the big open kitchen (with coffee and tea provided), the huge pool and the terrace where I could work from every day with a beautiful garden in front of me. Location/Transport: The villa is located between Antibes and the little village Biot. Regularly there comes a bus to get you to the nearest cities or the train station in just a few minutes. However I chose the bike most of the time to get to Antibes, it's a 20 minute ride alongside the sea which is just beautiful! Manuel and Giedre have bikes that you're free to use. People: Manuel and Giedre, the hosts, live at the place themselves and you can tell that they love what they do. They have always an open ear and plan trips and activities for everyone who wants to join - longer planned ones and also spontaneously. I loved the community at nomad union, especially having a glass of rosé with everyone at the terrace in the evening. Thanks again Manuel and Giedre for everything! I'll be back for sure! ❤️
I stayed at Nomad Union for a month between the end of July and August. House: The pool is lovely and the outside couch/table make a nice spot to sit and relax/work when it’s not too hot or when the mosquitos are out at night. The gym is outside and a bit outdated/rusty, but there are simple weights/items to do a simple workout. The workstation has lots of room and the kitchen is very spacious/stocked with all appliances/cookware to support your cooking needs. The bathrooms are supplied with the basics (toilet paper, soap), which is nice. Detergent is also supplied and it’s easy to do laundry. Bedroom: I stayed in St.Tropez. The room was spacious but it shared a central AC with another bedroom. Since St.Tropez is smaller, it would get cold pretty fast, and because the window needed to be closed for the AC to work, it could get too cold at times, which was inconvenient. If you and the other person (in the other room) don’t share similar ac wants, that would be very inconvenient. Public Transportation: While there is a bus and a shuttle about 4 mins walk away that brings you to the Biot train station, overall it felt inconvenient. I would have rather rented a car for the month to explore all of the surrounding towns. If you miss the bus or shuttle, it could be a while before the next one comes. The bus also stops running around 7:40pm, which makes any nighttime activities hard to plan unless you want to pay $$$ for Ubers/bolts. On Thursdays, the shuttle had later hours, but during the summer months the trains are packed with people so be prepared for very jam packed/sweaty train rides. The Biot train station and shuttle/bus times didn’t align that well, so I found myself waiting a while, many times, during transfers. Location: while the house was very nice, the location felt isolated. The central part of the Biot town is about a 25 minute walk (lots of uphill). You can get there via the bus or shuttle. It’s a cute town but there isn’t much to do besides get some groceries and check out a few restaurants/shops. As someone who explored a lot of the French Riviera during my stay, I felt that my experience would have been much more convenient /different if I stayed in Nice or Cannes. If you prefer a very quiet/relaxing/homebody environment, then this is the place for you. If you’d rather be in the heart of the action and be closer to restaurants, shops, beaches - a car would make life a lot easier, or staying in one of the other cities would be ideal. Community: This coliving has much fewer occupants that I’m used to at other colives. If only 1 person stays in each room, there will only be 6 pple. The accommodations next door were rented out as an airbnb instead of having more nomads stay, which I thought missed the marked, as having more nomads could have improved the overall community vibe. Also, there wasn’t as much emphasis on community outings/events as i’m used to in other colives, which meant you need to be very proactive to get group activities planned.
I had an amazing time at NomadUnion in April-May and would recommend it 100%. My day would usually look like this: wake up early to have a peaceful sunrise breakfast in the garden - work at the spacious coworking table - prepare a nice lunch to have at the terrace in the sun - have some nice conversations with likeminded nomads - work a bit more - explore the amazing region either by bike or car - cool off at the pool - have a nice BBQ and wine with the community - enjoy the birds chirping in the garden by night - go to sleep What stands out for me, is that the hosts Manu and Giedre have a nomad background themselves. They made this villa a perfect home for nomads like us.
Know This Before Booking Your Stay If you’re someone who enjoys slow living and is looking for a quiet, secluded place, this might be the spot for you. However, I’m writing this review because I wish I knew a few things before booking my stay. The experience could have been much different had I known the details upfront. Cons: • Transportation Woes: You’ll have a better experience if you have a car. Public transportation is not as easily accessible as advertised. The buses only run every 40-60 minutes, and it’s difficult to time the bus schedule with the train schedule. The last bus departs to/from Antibes at around 8pm, making it nearly impossible to enjoy any nightlife unless you’re willing to pay around €50 for an Uber/Bolt from Nice or Cannes at 2 am. Even going out for dinner is a hassle, an Uber from Antibes costing around €16 each way. I found the ride apps to be expensive. • Remote Location: The house is in a very secluded area with little to do around it. Co-living activities are often planned last minute. There’s also a lack of immersion with the local culture, and history. • Room Choice Warning: If you’re considering the Monaco room, think twice. It’s one of the most expensive rooms, and you’ll have to share a bathroom with three other rooms. You’ll also have to walk across the main living areas to get to the bathroom which is awkward. It’s also the hottest room in the summer, with an AC unit that struggles to keep the room cool. I rented this room because it has a nice view of the pool, but had to keep my curtains shut to help cool down the room. •High Security Deposit: Be prepared for an extremely high security deposit of €1,000. This isn’t just a hold on your credit card—they actually charge the amount. Pros: •Tidy Interior: The inside of the house is well-kept and tidy. •Coffee and Laundry Provided: Coffee is provided, and there are laundry machines and detergent available for use, which is a nice convenience. •Nice Pool: The pool is large and well-maintained, providing a good spot to relax. •Gym Access: There’s a gym available, with good basics but it’s outside so it’s very hot and dusty I hope this review helps other nomads make a more informed decision!
This place exceeded my expectations🤩 1. The villa is much bigger than expected, the internet is good (no issues during my stay), the room and overall place is clean; 2. 3 mins walk to the bus station and 10 mins walk to a shop/ pharmacy/ bakery (with daily fresh baguettes); 3. You can visit easily the French Riviera and the nearby villages by bus or train. Kudos to the hosts for arranging such a nice stay 👏🏻 I’ll definitely be back !
