I had such an amazing experience staying here that I ended up extending my stay from a few weeks to a total of five weeks – and I'm already thinking about coming back in a few months.
As someone who travels solo, works remotely, and loves surfing, this place offers a truly unique concept. You instantly meet like-minded people, but there's never any pressure to join group activities. You can be part of the community or simply enjoy your own space, which I absolutely loved.
The house is incredibly well equipped, with everything a surfer or digital nomad could ask for: a spacious kitchen, a dedicated coworking office, and restaurants, cafés, the supermarket, and the beach all within walking distance. The rooftop sauna and ice bath were definitely highlights.
The hosts are genuinely kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They clearly care about both the guests and the house, and everything is very well looked after.
Overall, I think the value for money is excellent, and I would book this place again without hesitation. Highly recommended!
love the terrace and the view. our room was clean. we requested for a mocca and got it within 10 mins. the hosts are super friendy and kind. great place to be - recommend 100%
The time @off the Hook was totally relaxed. Beautiful terrasse, garden and rooms in the villa. A stunning view over Sagres, nice light wind on the sunny rooftop. Welle equipped rooms and kitchen. I enjoyed the warm welcome of Natalie. The house Chat is friendly and easy for planning and conversations. The dinner at Laundry Lounge was a perfect last evening with interesting guys from different countries. A perfect week for a open minded Co-living/Co-working and holidays in Sagres for me!! This was my first time trying co-living and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Off The Hook offers the perfect balance between social and chilled out, and I met a like-minded group of amazing people. The house is really nice and well located, and the internet never let us down, even when there was a storm, so you have everything you need. I instantly felt at home here and hope to come back soon and stay longer!
I had such a fun time at Off the Hook. There were great people there and a chill atmosphere. I played games, had meals, surfed, skateboarded, and ate out with everyone. It was great to all help each other out with where to surf and scout out spots. The accommodation was beautiful and in a great location—very central and easy to get to places. A lot of fun, and now they have a sauna and cold plunge on the roof :0 Found it very nice to work there, too; great wifi speed etc, and the place was peaceful.
My two-month stay was a truly wonderful experience. From the very beginning, the atmosphere was relaxed and harmonious – a place where you instantly feel welcome.
The people I met here made this stay truly special. Open, inspiring, and full of positive energy – it was easy to connect, cook together, or discover the best surf spots. It felt more like a community than just a place to stay.
The house itself has charm, the rooms are simple but sufficient, and both the host and the owner are genuinely committed to improving the quality and offerings of the space.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The host is warm and welcoming, making sure everyone feels at home. The atmosphere is super friendly, and you’ll meet lots of open-minded people. If you’re in the mood for socializing, there are plenty of opportunities to do things together - but if you need some quiet time, you’ll have no problem finding it.
The workspace is also a huge plus: there’s a great work atmosphere and space to be productive. It’s the perfect place to balance work, relaxation, and meeting new people. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Off the Hook is the perfect combination of chill surfer community and great work environment. There are plenty of spots throughout the property to work, either in the shared office or the private rooms. The Wifi works great everywhere, so you can even work from the sunny rooftop! There was a great community vibe with shared waves and dinners and the hosts were always there to support if needed. Highly recommended :)
