I was lucky enough to stay at Onda and relish in the glory of this fantastic living space. The home has a stunning wraparound deck that provides an almost full 360 view of the ocean, with each guest room attached to the deck via large sliding glass doors! Waking up everyday and taking in the view from my bedroom was one of my favorite things- I mean who doesn’t love a whole entire wall that’s just glass windows!? It really gives you a sense a luxury.
Vasco is a true king of hosting, it’s obvious how much he loves what he does. Beyond being a natural extrovert he appreciates culture and will tell you one interesting story after the other and make you laugh along the way. His warmth and sincerity create a real safe space to exist, whether you find yourself in work mode or play mode ( personally, I was in play mode and he met my energy straight on and elevated it by feeding me lots of lots of sardines, sometimes at 4am).
Between the killer beachside location, excellent surf scene, phenomenal food and great people that Onda attracts, I can’t wait to go back.
Stayed at Onda for a week and it was the nicest experience. The house is amazing and the host Vasco is great with lots of knowledge and details about the area. Perfect for remote workers and spectacular sea views - will definitely be back again in the near future!
I've stayed at Onda twice in the last year and I cannot recommend it enough. The location is perfect for surfing, lounging on the beach, and immersing yourself in the local cuisine. Not to mention the GORGEOUS sunsets you get from the deck and pretty much every room of the house. Vasco is an incredible host. He's super knowledgeable about the area and will give you great recommendations, as well as being your personal guide and incredible cook during your stay! This place has everything you could ever need and so much more. I will, quite literally, never stay anywhere else when I'm visiting the area.
I stayed at Onda Coliving in April and would visit again for sure! The location is perfect with views to both the bay and Lagide. It’s under a 5min walk to the closest surfspot, with numerous restaurants and cafes around.
The house is quite new with all the amenities you could wish for. The storage for surfboards and wetsuits works really well. There is a huge wraparound terrace around the apartment and the pool was nice for quick swims between work and surf. Though I chose to stay in the Almagreira suite during this visit, I would be more than happy to stay in any of the rooms during future stays.
Definitely recommend for remote workers. The internet connection was fast and worked without fail whether I was in the common areas, my room or the terrace.
Vasco is a delightful host and an amazing person. He arranges all kinds of adventures and has great recommendations regarding services in the area.
You can’t beat the location at Onda Coliving! It’s perfectly located within walking distance to everything—the beach and the town/Ferrel. There are plenty of cafes and açaí spots, as well as delicious restaurants and fun bars within an easy walk in any direction. This house also has such prime views, you never need to check the surf forecast—you can see multiple breaks from the sun-drenched, wrap-around terrace. The sunsets from the terrace are breathtaking, too. Each room, including the spacious living room/kitchen/coworking area has access to it, so you’re spoiled for choice. Vasco often bbqs out there, and he’s an awesome cook! He’s an awesome host all around. You can feel completely comfortable asking him anything, as he’s incredibly accommodating and always happy to help. Vasco and I spent many nights hanging out, having long talks! I really appreciated his openness and willingness to share. He’s a kind person who enjoys bringing people together, connecting people, and making the most of Baleal. And he makes sure all of his guests can, too, with tons of tips, surfboards, and weekly event plans! I stayed for over a month and wish I could have hung out in Baleal with the friends I made at the house and through Vasco at community events even longer! I’ll be back 110%!
We are frequent travelers in Europe every summer, and dare I say, Vasco is the best host out of all. Our stay at Onda Co-living was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the day we reluctantly had to leave, we were treated with warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality.
The accommodation itself was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully appointed, providing a cozy retreat after adventurous days exploring the area. The location was perfect - nestled in the heart of picturesque surroundings, yet conveniently close to all the attractions and activities we wanted to experience.

My partner and I stayed for a month in September last year and had the MOST amazing time! The photos do not do it justice - 270 degree beautiful view of the ocean from the wrap around balcony in a perfect location. Vasco is the BEST host - so welcoming and took us to surfing lessons and great restaurants and bars in the area, made sure we had everything we needed (and more)! On top of that the place itself is spotless, spacious, super comfortable and everything is basically brand new. As soon as we are able to we’ll be back to stay again :) if you’re looking for a place in the Peniche/Baleal area - book at Onda!!! Thank you Vasco!
