Great community! I met amazing people from all over the world, made new plans, and explored the area together. Whatever your hobby or interest, there's a good chance you'll find someone to share it with.
The town itself is lively, with plenty of events, great food, cozy cafés, restaurants, gyms, and excellent surf spots. There are also several welcoming communities that organize shared activities, making it easy to meet people and get involved.
Remember to:
- try out morning dips in the Ocean, before the coffee shops open
- play escape games before falling asleep
- try the rare Jampal wine from the near extinct grapes (its like Atlantic decided to become wine)
- surf all day, or read a book by the beach.. your call!
- be there at Boardriders at 7pm sharp on Friday. You'll know once you are there!
- try a churrasqueira after your surf session
- organize an unofficial gathering with your friends at the Villa. Remember to go to bed early, and keep things unofficial!
The location is perfect, everything in town is within a quick, easy walk. The community at the Centro house is great. Super social, with plenty of stuff going on over the spring/summer months. Veronica, the community manager, is great! She often works out of the Centro house, so she’s around to give advice on local spots or things to do. She’s also super responsive and helpful if any issues come up in the house.
Outsite Ericeira Centro, is truly a remarkable international community of professionals that combines creativity, skills, and a deep understanding of sustainable living. From the moment I joined many years ago, I realized that it was much more than just a co-living space—it was a genuine community, both within the house and in the surrounding Ericeira City. The welcoming atmosphere made me feel instantly at home, with the beautiful beach just a short walk away. The presence of a morning yoga studio, a community-organized running group, and numerous healthy, cozy restaurants added to the charm of the area. The house itself is well-equipped, featuring everything one might need, including a smoothie maker, ample kitchen space, and the essentials for daily cooking. My room (9) had a lovely balcony, complete with a heater and humidifier, which were essential due to the house's foundation and climate. I highly recommend Outside, to those who seek a community that inspires and is warm and welcoming. All activities are conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walk, making it an ideal choice for anyone seeking a balanced and engaging lifestyle.
Veronica (community manager) was amazing - supportive, responsive, and honestly I keep seeing how the community managers are really the ones making the experience. I’m still new to this scene, but the people and vibe at Outsite are what make it worth it and why only after a couple of stays I decided to invest in the lifetime membership.
I won’t get into the full details of this particular experience, but I had booked a beautiful double ensuite room with two balconies. Some changes needed to happen due to an inspection, and I was offered rooms/locations that wasn’t quite comparable to what I paid for. There was quite a bit of back and forth, but eventually reservations came through - they covered my Uber to a new location, provided a 10% credit, and although the room isn’t exactly what I originally booked, it better aligns with some of the features.
I’m really grateful I got to experience Ericeira... even if my stay there ended up being shorter than expected.
And truly, throughout all of this, Veronica made a huge difference. Her support, care, and presence are what held the experience together for me. She's an absolute gem.
Loved being walking distance to the beach. The house is centrally located: close to grocery stores, cafés, and little shops, which made it really easy to settle into. Plus, close to bus stops in case you need to go to other towns or Lisbon.
The space itself is comfortable and great for remote work. Veronica, the community manager, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great place to stay in Ericeira and I’d happily come back in warmer climate.

If you're looking for somewhere with a more relaxed vibe and to slow down, this is the place for you. It's well-located in the centre of town and has everything you need within a few minutes of walking. The wifi was great and the team was always happy to help. Our community manager was amazing, always finding ways to bring us together and I felt like I actually had my own little community that I got to know really well during my stay.
Outsite Ericeira is definitely a place to meet your new best friends, be close to all the best places and cafes in town, and get inspired to surf every day!
