My time in playworking was magical! I went to work and visit Montenegro, and everything exceeded my expectations. I had my own room with all my space and worked wonderfully in the offices with excellent internet connection. I met kind-hearted people with whom we shared trips and trekking in our free time, and I discovered that Montenegro has it all: sea, mountains (in February I was able to snowboard), cities, and bars. Jeffrey was super welcoming and helped me by picking me up at the airport. Plus, the house has absolutely everything, from kitchen utensils to things for all kinds of sports. Brownie is the house dog, and I loved spending time with her. What can I say? This experience is indescribable; this place helped me rebalance myself and find serenity. I want to return in the summer!
Here is an amazing place to live, work and play! Jeffrey is very friendly and helpful. Living with trustful international people, practicing many languages and exchanging cultures!
OMG!!🙌👍👍

i love you Julia!🇧🇷
I had a really good time at Playworking, although it was in the middle of the winter and I stayed relatively shortly. It was super easy to make friends and I fell in love with the location, the house and Brownie, Jeffrey's dog. I think it's a really good option for digital nomads and volunteers to reset and focus on yourself while being able to socialize with people at the same time.
There is a lot of space, a complete/spacious kitchen and fast WI-FI, which are definitely the 3 most important things for me being a digital nomad.
If you have any requests, Jeffrey takes initiative and helps you with whatever you need. For example, I wanted to go skiing and he was very helpful and proposed a plan. In the end I didn't go, but I appreciated his willingness to help.
What Jeffrey could Improve on:
- I think some of the furniture could be improved. The benches are not very ergonomic, so I didn't feel they were very comfortable. Also some desk chairs in the office are old and need replacement.
- I found that some of the volunteers work much harder than others. Jeffrey can be much stricter with volunteers freeriding their way into free accommodation. It's not fair for the other volunteers, nor for customers like me who are paying money for rent.
- I felt very fortunate to have a car on me, otherwise it's quite hard to get around, so you will be more dependent on others. (The location is stunning but isn't the easiest, as it's very hilly and not super close a big supermarket or anything, I can only imagine how much harder this is in summer heat).
My time at playworking was great, the location is perfect for deep work and close enough to both nature and city breaks. Jeffrey’s hospitality makes the difference compared to other commercial style colivings. And the garage full of Royal Enfield’s was the cherry on the top.
Just really was not what I had in mind for a coliving. I experienced multiple issues while at play working, and the communication was what really ruined it for me. If you want to volunteer, they seemed to be having the best time - as they used the car as they pleased. However, the volunteers really weren't on it while I was there and it was explained to me that it's more of a "house share" than a co living you're paying for. The group outings were organized around the volunteers schedule and not the paying guests, for example. The best trips I went on while there were self organized, so just plan for that. The website advertised multiple things that weren't true that I think have been updated since, but was annoying at the time. The wifi was unreliable and I had to go to a cafe multiple times - and when I asked if it was fixed we found out none of the volunteers had told the owner it was down. When sharing my issues with the owner, he was so defensive it was really just a waste of time. I was offered a free week if I wanted to come back, but won't use it. Overall - I wish I had stayed somewhere else. It would have been cheaper and more convenient. I also received assurance from multiple other people that I shouldn't let this color my idea of a coliving because most are much better.
Best first coliving experience. I could try to explain all of it but you just have to experience the legendary Voli runs, sunsets, SUP, and just great vibes in the house. It’s access to the surrounding cities, activities, and especially the water make Playworking an S-tier spot.
I could spend all day explaining why staying at Playworking has amazed me in so many ways. From sunset paddleboarding to dipping after work, this is the place to be.
