I heard about Waves & Wi-Fi from a coworker back in NYC and decided to book a stay to escape the chaos of the city and hone in my surfing skills. From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless.
The check-in process was effortless, and the room (along with the entire property) was super clean and had a great vibe. This place has a uniquely peaceful yet inspiring atmosphere.
What really stood out, though, were the people. I met a ton of other guests and now new friends. The beauty is everyone is here for the same reason, to surf, recharge, and enjoy Nicaragua. There’s a shared energy among everyone staying here, like we’re all chasing the same mix of adventure and calm.
We ended the week with a barbecue night that made it feel like family. Between the community, the architecture, and the surf, this trip was everything I hoped it would be. I’m already planning a much longer stay next year.
Perfect spot for digital nomads and surfers. Everything you need on site, quick walk to the beach break and quick ride to the main reef. Reliable WiFi and backup power for outages. What more could you want?
I spent a month at Waves and WiFi and have nothing but good things to say about it. I was able to surf and work everyday. I had no issues with WiFi and was working from all over on the property. The property was also kept super clean and had an awesome layout that made for a great experience.
Waves & Wifi is a special place with the best access to reliable wifi and great surf. W&W draws a crowd of great people that become friends and a community. What makes this place truly exceptional are the amazing owners and workers who feel more like friends as they make your stay as comfortable and worthwhile as possible.
We loved our stay at WW so much that we ended up booking to return for another month in the Fall before the end of our trip. It was the perfect location for us to access multiple surf breaks at varying surf levels while also working remotely in a quiet and peaceful area. All the staff were friendly and provided everything we needed to have an incredible stay.
We loved Waves & Wifi so much we extended our stay an additional 9 days. We stayed in 4 of the 8 rooms during our 5.5 week stay and each one was just as amazing as the next! Not only are all the amenities exactly as described (including the best and most consistent WiFi, well kept clean spaces and amazing coliving areas) the owners and staff are the most loving and caring people around. A huge bonus is the community events that are planned for guests making the experience that much more memorable. We both really enjoyed access to the ice bath which is an included amenity I haven’t found anywhere else! Amazing for surfers at the end of a long session or for people like me who need some recovery after long ocean swim sessions.
There are also plenty of restaurants in walking distance and the beach is just across the road with a short 2 min walk. There is also a produce truck that comes by multiple times daily making it really easy to plan out meals and snacks. They also added some amazing frozen meat choices from a local business to the guest freezer that makes it so easy for late arrivals to have options for a good meal!
It was actually really hard saying goodbye to such a wonderful community of people and we couldn’t be more thankful to Leo and Gerry for their hospitality. We are already planning when our next stay will be!

The rooms are designed minimalistic and practical, but with a love for details - like the cute tiles from a local factory. I really enjoyed the community kitchen and pool area, where I hung out and worked with the other guests on the big beautiful wooden table.
The co-working space offered many possibilities to work on desks or in two couch-like niches with good AC. There are also little phone booths seperated with glass doors. The owners told us, that they ordered AC for these little rooms too, but they got delayed in delivery. But I enjoyed working here in the couch niches.
Everyday there was a Yoga Class on the rooftop terrace with different teachers and for every level. And an ice bath and gym equipment you could use at any time.
During my stay there was an Pop up Market organized with local handmade goods and live music.
A huuuge plus is the Kooks Café - such good food and drinks. I litteraly ate or drank something there every day :)
