So I have a couple more days here, but I wanted to start the post of my experience at the hotel thus far. The concept is great. It's a small little apartment that is supposed to be your home away from home. There's a couch, a TV, and a bed. There's also AC, which is a must in these hot summers. The staff is very nice, but definitely understaffed because they're all a bit stressed. Be gentle and kind to them. However, here are some of the issues we've experienced so far on day 2: The couch is small and uncomfortable. The fabric is worn and barely holds 2 people comfortable. The walls are quite scuffed up from previous tenants, and I assume they possibly had kids because how? Clearly, no one at the hotel actually cares to fix it. But that's fine. It's not actually a big deal. The AC - they put a limit on how low you can set it, which is 21 degrees celsius, which is about 70 degrees F. The significant cons are this: The dishes, bed sheets, linens, etc...all dirty. Every single utensil, pot, plate, cup, etc. is caked with grease or something sticky. And we've scrubbed them....hard. we really, really tried to just clean them ourselves so we could cook...this grease must've come from the dirtiest restaurant kitchen in the world (people who have worked the industry...you know what I'm talking about). I'm currently trying to run them in the dishwasher, andddd I'm not even sure it's working because I don't hear anything 😂 I'll have to check on that in a minute. (Update: I forgot to press start lolol) The bed sheets had clear marks of makeup on them....gross. Just gross, man. So I did a quick wash myself. There's a solid and clear coat of dust on everything, so I wiped it all down and wiped the floor with a wet rag because it hadn't been cleaned in a hot minute. We also got an offer for a top floor for 10 euro via email. I was like, "This is great!" (Receipt provided) then I get to the hotel, and they say it's per night. But the email and receipt I got said 10 euro. But alright. Fine. I paid. THAT SAID...Don't bother with the top floor unless you got a premium room. The view isn't great, people from the neighboring hotel and restaurants can easily see into your room if the blinds are open, and the lobby is on the 7th floor (last floor), so you'll hear people walking around and moving things around until 12 am/1am. So, if you're sensitive to sound, it's good. The sliding door to the loft bed also wouldn't open, so we had to really put some weight on it for it to open. I've fixed stuff like this before, so I took a look and noticed the wheels are falling apart and definitely haven't had any maintenance, probably since it was originally built. Also, the nespresso is kinda broken. It leaks water, the latch on the water canister on the back of it is broken (but that doesn't affect operation, so it's okay), but the machine itself dilutes the coffee so much that it's kinda watery/watered down. I gave up trying to use and fix it. Basically, it's fine if they have a good rate. But if not, there's better to be had. They're not keeping up with cleaning. At all. And I'd rather have a clean room rather than a company trying to come off as hip. I have a few days left here, so I'll update as I go ❤️
Really beautiful hotel. They thought of so many details in the rooms, it was so relaxing a practical at tje same time. Our sheets however were moist and didn't smell good, as it seems they were not dried well after washing. Sadly on the night we arrived there was a private event on their outdoor terrace, hence we weren't able to enjoy the beautiful views of prater park at night, and we wished we were informed about it beforehand. Also, the hotel wasn't flexible in extending our check out time not even for an extra hour. Overall our experience was pleasant and we loved that it is less than a minute walk from Prater.
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are amazing and have everything you could ever need. The rollercoaster view is also fun! And the food from the restaurant in the terrace is to die for!
Japanese style, compact, clean and functional. Bed is on a high platform and very comfortable. Pantry on the floor provides access to additional laundry and beverage items for the room. Young and trendy working vibe. Efficient with people actively working on the top floor. Great views of Prater and Wien. Be aware, the carpark below is very, very expensive. Not indicated at arrival.
The rooftop terrace is an incredible place to get a good meal, a cold beverage, and a birds-eye view of the Prater and Vienna. The restaurant/bar is well run by Jarrett and his crew, and live music by Danny Chicago, makes for a perfect evening!
The loft was fantastic, bed and pillows are top tier. It had everything you need and was clean. There was a little bit of noise from the rollercoaster outside, but it was bearable. Staff was untrained, and although you don’t really expect professional aproach at this kind of hotel, it would be nice to know how to approach the guest in a right way. Breakfast room was really cold due to the AC, and staff had no interest in adjusting the temperature. Breakfast was mediocore, and a la carte options are small, nothing special, and not worth it.
Loved it, well organized, fantastic breakfast, rooftop is top, very near to the metrostation. Well equipped room. Next time I would like to have a room not near the Prater Luna Park, although the view by night was magnificent.
