I stayed here for three months and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was calm and perfect for both working and relaxing. The Romantic Room was great, highly recommend it! The location is also ideal, just a short walk to Praia d’Illhas, where you can go surfing. I met so many lovely people during my stay, and Marion and her parents are truly wonderful hosts, kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. It really felt like being part of a small, caring community. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Ericeira!

- The backyard was a big highlight. Lots of seating, a pool, scenic views, and fresh grapes if the season is right.

My partner and I spent a month working remotely at Barefoot! It was the perfect spot for us to set-up and settle in while in Ericeira. The house is beautiful and comfortable. It's a great balance of quiet and as much socializing with other house guests as you'd like. Highly recommend for any long-term (and short-term) stay!
I stayed in 4 different guesthouses/locations during my long visit to Ericeira as I was scoping out Coliving spaces for my month + long return. Barefoot was by far my favorite place and is my top choice for my return trip! The house is warm and welcoming. The host Maron has put so much love into making this a special place and you can feel it the moment you step in. The vibe is laid back, warm and very welcoming. I met wonderful people and had authentic connections with the other guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The location is peaceful and serene but also close to Ericeira center. The coworking space was a huge bonus for me as I was working during my stay. There are plenty of outdoor spaces where you can chill in a hammock or work on your own if you seek privacy and solitude, but there are also plenty of spaces to encourage socializing and community if that’s what you seek. I was sad to leave this little gem and I cannot wait to return. It felt like home 💜
I hosted a 5-woman yoga retreat at Barefoot Guesthouse in Ericeira, and it was exactly what we hoped for. The house was bright, clean, and had such a peaceful energy—perfect for our group. We loved how private it felt, surrounded by nature and so close to the ocean. Each woman had their own room with bathroom which we loved.
Renting e-bikes from Roda E bikes for the week made it easy to pop into town in just 10 minutes, mostly along bike paths.
Enjoyed having coffee and pastries in Santa Isidoro some mornings a few minutes up the road. A cute and quaint vibe.
Marion was a joy to communicate with—warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. I’d absolutely return and recommend it!
