I stayed here as a solo traveller and it was perfect for my requirements. It's away from hustle and bustle with lovely clean and airy rooms and a very well equipped community kitchen. My room had a bathroom and so I didn't need to use the shared bathroom facilities. I made use of the washing machine and had my own airer at the back of my room to dry my clothes.
The sauna is turned on once a week, but the hot tub seemed to be empty and not operational. There's a supermarket 100m away and a bus stop 50m away at the end of the road. I hired a car, and found the location superb for getting all around the island. There's a lot to see in the locality too, with markets in La Oliva, Lajares and places of interest.
Because of the community nature of the place and it's rural location, there's early morning noise of kids, donkeys and roosters so bring earplugs. It's worth a stay though as it's good for the soul and the people all seem lovely.
Lovely, peaceful place with wonderful views, including a direct view from roof terraces of the windmills and majestic mountains. Eclectic and well designed little compound with many areas to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Courtyard with lounging areas and even a little library to borrow books Communal kitchen is spacious, well organized and clean with cookware you might need for making a meal or coffee pots for simply morning coffee .It is located on a sweet residential neighborhood street, at the top of the street so very private.
Close to bus stop and very short walk to grocery store.
I did not use the pool, or spa area, due to weather, but it is a comfortable refuge among cacti and succulent gardens and other native flora. I picked some fresh mint and rosemary for my tea from the garden. Also loquats were edible!
If you are a nature lover and want a unpretentious, simple, communal yet super private functional space, this is it.
very cute little oasis in mid-fuerte, located perfectly to explore the whole island. cool 60s-70s design in the room is done with much sense of style. very good internet, many nomad workers here and comfortable chairs, tables etc all around the property. 100%!
friendly for everyone; cosy; atmosphere is amazing even between people who stayed in;
there is small pool, sauna, hot tub.
I was staying in the yurt and the tent was warm (December), pretty and really big. if you staying in the yurt or camper - you have to use sharing bathroom and shower, but wasn’t that a big deal.
loved it!
I spent one week in casa Cocolores, I enjoyed my stay here. The place is beautiful, with an amazing view, great location, and a very nice atmosphere. The room was comfortable, well decorated, and the common areas were always very clean 😊
However, I have to mention that the noise insulation is quite poor. On Saturday evening especially there was a lot of noise coming from the room below mine, children screaming and adults talking and laughing loudly. I completely understand it was the weekend and that people were just enjoying themselves, but it honestly felt like they were in my room. The sound travels a lot, and even normal conversations, kitchen use, or someone waking up early can be heard quite clearly.
That said, the owner was very kind, and the place is truly beautiful. I felt it was important to share this feedback for people that can’t handle noise.
Thank you for the stay 😊
Lovely
Place with an amazing host and a friendly community! Had a lot of fun and enjoyed a lot staying at this place! It also had a lovely pool! We stayed to sleep in the Iurta, and it was very clean and spacious for 2 people probably would fit 4-5 people if also the floor is used ! Would visit again if I could !!
Excellent place to hang out or to stay at base to explore the island like I did. The environment is overwhelmed with a great flora and fauna. Impressive views and it’s very clean. Everything you need is there and within walking distance Villaverde has a great supermarket and some nice restaurants. Casa Cocolores has it’s own garden where you can take some fruits and if you are an earlybird you can meet the sweet rabbits and cats during your breakfast. There is a very friendly vibe around and also a private one if you choose for that. Definitely a recommendation. I loved my stay in Casa Cocolores ❤️
What a week I had staying here! Set in the lovely little village of villaverde with lots of excellent bars and restaurants within 15 minutes walk. Shop just across the road and bus stop right outside the villa. The room I stayed in was lovely, had all the amenities you could need and more! Outside garden area was just tranquility hearing the sound of the wind running through the palm trees was so relaxing and looking out onto the panoramic views of the mountains. An easy 10/10 for me, the only downside if I could pick one was that there was no TV but this was explained before I made the booking so no fault of the owners. Casa cocolores is one place to visit 100%
