When I booked Dolce Vita Coliving, I had no idea where I was going. I just showed up… and honestly, I was shocked at how lovely and peaceful this place turned out to be.
The coliving is in a tiny medieval village in Umbria, Italy. At first, it feels like you’ve stepped back in time, but then you realise you’re also living right inside this little community. The spaces are spread across the village, so every day you’re wandering narrow stone streets and passing neighbours who always stop for a smile or a chat. It makes you feel like part of the family.
Life here runs slow in the nicest way. Two restaurants, a café with focaccia and cakes that taste like heaven, and a minimarket that has just what you need. Once a week, a supermarket truck literally rolls into town, which feels both funny and charming. And Riccardo, who runs the coliving, makes sure no one’s missing anything, even driving us to a bigger supermarket nearby.
The days had their own rhythm. One moment we were rafting or biking through the hills, the next we were sitting down for family dinners with fresh vegetables straight from Riccardo’s garden. And let me tell you… this place stole my heart because of one thing: the truffle. Every meal with truffle here felt like a little piece of paradise on a plate.
Work was easy with the coworking space, comfy chairs, good WiFi, and windows that looked out on hills that don’t even feel real. And every evening, no matter what, I’d watch the sun dip behind the mountains. It became my ritual, the kind you never forget.
I came here with no plan and no expectations. I left with memories, friendships, and a piece of my heart still sitting somewhere between the village streets and a plate of truffle pasta
I had an excellent stay at Dolce Vita Coliving,. The coliving is located in Vallo di Nera, a beautiful medieval village in the Umbria region of Italy. The fact that the services and spaces of the coliving are spread throughout the village makes the experience even more charming—you really feel like part of the community. Everyone in the village is so nice, always giving you a small chat.
The activities offered are diverse and exciting: from rafting and mountain bike trips to visits to nearby villages, family dinners, and cultural exchanges with local residents. These activities gave me the chance to deeply connect with the local culture and cuisine, which was a highlight of my stay.
The village itself has two excellent restaurants, a cozy café serving really focaccias and home made cakes, and a small minimarket for daily necessities. Once a week, a supermarket truck comes to town, which is both convenient and part of the charm of village life. On top of this, Riccardo , the coliving manager, was taking us to the nearest supermarket (10 minutes drive) at least once a week which was really conviniant.
One of the things I enjoyed the most were the family meals. We often cooked with vegetables straight from the garden that Riccardo cultivates. The freshness and flavor of the produce made every meal special.
Dolce Vita is what in Italy they call a “diffuse coliving”, meaning the facilities are spread across different locations within the village. I found this to be a huge plus—it gave me the chance to walk through the picturesque streets every day and soak in the beauty of the medieval setting.
The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the coworking space was excellent, with ergonomic chairs and monitors that made it easy to stay productive. The views from the village are breathtaking, and watching the sunset from one of the many viewpoints became a daily ritual.
I stayed 2 week in this lovely co-living place. The town is wonderful and I really enjoyed everything here, what a pity for me is when I started to really like here I need to leave soon, and I think to stay one month month would be great.
The town is just amazing, it’s like in the movie and you can discover many lovely spots. 2 restaurants are very yummy and the cafe also nice and well-located.
I really love the co-working place, it’s like in a museum. And the kitchen is so functional! The experience that Ricardo brings is the major thing for me in this co-living.
The public transportation is a bit not so convenient but Riccardo drives us when it’s needed.
Highly recommended!
What an amazing experience at Dolce Vita Coliving at Vallo di Nera village in Umbria. The setting is sublime, in a beautiful medieval village that seems perfectly sculpted out of ancient stone in the stunning Peruglia countryside. Accommodation is in the village houses, and the co-working provisions are in the actual village town hall, with full use of all facilities including a professional kitchen. Riccardo is an excellent host also, with a full range of interesting activities to do in spare time. It’s a unique experience which I recommend 100%.
We spent one week at Dolce Vita, living a wonderful experience in Vallo di Nera with Riccardo and the other hosts from any country in the world. It was nice to work surrounded by nature and the beautiful Italian borgo. I loved working with my dog besides me :) Even if it is close to the city (Spoleto), you can enjoy a full immersion in nature and the quietness of Vallo di Nera. Local people friendly welcome you, and you can do many activities. We did also the dog trekking by Kanito: great experience! I loved living a local experience and at the same time an international one meeting other smart workers from different countries.
Es war echt schön! I’ve been staying at this co-living space in a lovely village for one week, and it’s been an amazing experience! The peaceful surroundings are perfect for relaxing, and the village has such a charming, friendly vibe. The shared spaces are modern and well-maintained, I really like the co-working and dinning place.
My room is cozy and gives me the privacy I need, but there’s always the option to join in with social activities. The Joga, truffle and hiking experiences they bring was amazing for me.
Plus, it’s great to have nature right on the doorstep. The staff is helpful and responsive, making it a stress-free place to live. Highly recommend!
I stayed one week in this lovely co-living place. The town is wonderful and I really enjoyed everything here, what a pity for me is just that I only stayed one week, and I want to stay one month more since I arrived here and I didn’t want to leave.
