An incredible workshop cohort for founders! It’s the perfect environment to discuss, work, and immediately implement ideas. Being surrounded by brilliant fellow entrepreneurs and approachable VCs makes it an unmatched space for networking and securing funding. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for a functional, well-maintained space in Koramangala, the Founder Start Up House offers excellent amenities and a clean environment. However, the experience can be significantly hampered by the social culture within the building.
The Pros: Facilities and Operations
From a logistical and maintenance perspective, this co-living space is well-run. My stay was comfortable thanks to several key features:
Cleanliness & Maintenance: The property is kept in great condition. Rooms are cleaned daily, and the space maintains a modern, fresh vibe throughout.
Comfort: The rooms are properly ventilated and equipped with both AC and fans, ensuring a comfortable climate.
Convenience: The check-in process was seamless, and the keycard access system provides a reliable sense of security.
Self-Catering Amenities: The kitchen is fully stocked with essential pots, pans, utensils, and cleaning supplies, making it easy to prepare your own meals. Additionally, the onsite laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are available at a low cost, which is a great value.
Accessibility: Bathrooms are conveniently located and accessible throughout the building.
The Cons: Social Environment and Interactions
While the physical space is top-tier, the social culture—specifically regarding how residents interact with one another—was deeply problematic.
Invasive and Persistent Questioning: Throughout my stay, I felt consistently bombarded by other residents demanding to justify my presence in the building. From my first day, I was accosted by individuals insisting on knowing my purpose and background. This often felt less like genuine networking and more like an interrogation.
Lack of Emotional Intelligence: Many of the young men in the building lacked the basic conversational skills or "read the room" capabilities expected in a professional or shared living environment.
On one occasion, I was even stopped and interrogated by a short older man with a bald head. He was in his mid to late 50s. He wanted to know why I was moving my bags, and generously asked if I needed help. I got the distinct impression that he thought I was stealing my luggage.
Later that week, I was interrogated by his wife about my purpose in the building. What was I doing there and how did I come to know about their hostel. The interrogation was unending.
Hostile Atmosphere: The repeated, rude, and unnecessary inquiries made me feel bullied and scrutinized rather than welcomed. While I did encounter a few residents who were mature, emotionally intelligent, and capable of holding a normal conversation, they were the exception. The persistent pressure to "add value" and the invasive nature of these interactions made it difficult to feel at ease in the common areas.
I often felt I was surrounded by ravenous wolves looking for blood. In the end, I decided to leave early and tried to negotiate a return of half of my payment. I paid for over 20 days but only stayed for 8 days. I was summarily dismissed by the receptionist at the counter and told no refund would be forthcoming.
I had to choose between losing the money and maintaining my welfare and wellbeing. I strongly feel that people who have deep seated prejudices against classes of people or different ethnic groups shouldn’t take their money.
I am still puzzled about the type of work these founders do on a daily basis. I still have questions that remain unanswered. I did observe two conversations that I found to be particularly troubling. I heard two young men speaking to what I presumed to be clients in very forceful tones that left me wondering. The tone and mannerisms of these two young men were reminiscent of someone trying to sell snake oil.
Guys working here are too good, immediate service! The Guy by name Karan is very kind and quick work guy!

Draper's Startup House (now FSH) is arguably the best place to stay in Blr for founders and solo travellers. There is no dearth of facilities and seating options for work. Rooms and common areas are frequently cleaned. The founder Karan Bahadur and staff are genuine and warm. *Highly recommend chatting with Karan about whatever you're working on*.
Place is conveniently located in Koramangala with many offices, commercial outlets and public transport within walking distance.
Staff and Location is amazing. Shared dorms are very tiny. Hard to move around, no privacy in beds. And, sadly, multiple experiences in Indian hostels- the other guests don't respect quiet hours- people will be speaking on the phone at 2, 4 am. People will have lights on. The staff has done a lot to post signs and but guests don't respect. This happened at Draper House as well.
Otherwise, cool startup vibe for connecting with others. Not a place to rest though.
The best place to stay for few days at the most reasonable price and best service. Due to war like situations, my meeting in Bangalore was canceled and had to cancel my stay which was not refundable. But they still gave me 100% refund understanding the situation.
We need more like them.

Great for networking, learning, and exchanging ideas. The community and overall atmosphere are really inspiring. Recently visited and loved this place. No one disturbs you around. People here you meet are really great. It is located at heart of the city. Facilities for co-working and networking. Everyday they do room service and take care all the amenities are available. Will definitely visit back and recommend!
