Pros:
- Beautiful 360 sunset views
- Nice paella on the first day.
- The staff responded to/remedied our issues on the same day.
- A gas bonfire was made on our final day for our closing ceremony, this was a nice touch.
- Some of our guests were stranded in Xativa on Sunday when we arrived and the owner went to pick them up. Make sure your guests know to pre-arrange travel especially if they're arriving on a Sunday.
Cons:
- Overall I do not recommend this venue for a retreat. You will spend most of your energy remedying issues for your guests. It is all they will talk about.
- Poor communication from staff. Unsanitary living conditions - visible mold, lack of ventilation in bathrooms, and poor food safety to name a few things.
- The house and property isn't accessible if you can't walk down stairs, which wasn't disclosed.
- These are not "luxury accommodations" as advertised. The pictures on the website are very outdated. All of our guests were unhappy with this.
- Many people complained of backpain from the old, thin, mattresses. The shared rooms included small twin beds that were not big enough for average sized adults.
- The "presentation area" pictured isn't available to guests. We used the dining and living room with a TV for our weeklong trainings.
- We had to rehash our dietary restrictions multiple times before meals. This is not catering. We ate sandwiches for lunch every day. There were multiple issues with the food not being properly cooked. The kittens literally crawled on the counters and ate the food.
- All meals happen in a shared space on the other side of the house with the owners and 4-6 young work away helpers. The customer service was lacking - they were often annoyed by us making requests.
- There is no dedicated indoor space to do yoga. The mats available were thin. You will be covered in mosquitos at the end.
- It says no pets allowed because there were two dogs and three kittens running around. There were some joyous moments with the animals but most of the time it was distracting. No flea treatment.
- The trails they boast are not well maintained. When we asked about this they said to go on the main road where there are no sidewalks, so we had to avoid cars.
- It is challenging to leave unless you have a pre-arranged ride so make sure your guests know this. The closest town is about a 40 minute walk away.
It's nothing like the pictures. Theres is no mini golf and no kind of sports to do in the area. The owner and his wife couldn't understand why over 20 people needed to use the washing machine more than once a day. Every other place gave us free use of the washing machine. To our sureprise the owners had to use it too because they somehow felt the need to stay at the house next door even though they live somewhere else. Never have I experienced that the owners had to use the same washing machine as their guest. He blamed us for somehow breaking his stove which was broken when we arrived. The bottom off the pool was never cleaned. Toilets were all bad and started to fall apart like it was cardboard. He told us that we should pay more because we used too much electricity. I have never been anywhere where the owners take more for electricity usage and on top off that he told us cut down the usage of air conditioning.
We had the most amazing time celebrating my wife’s 60th birthday here! We had about 10 friends from the US fly out and join us and everyone loved the property! I’ve never stayed anywhere, where the owner/host made us feel so welcome, but at the same time provided us as much privacy as we wanted. The property is charming, eclectic, and rustic, so if you’re looking for an American style hotel, this is not the place for you. Situated with beautiful 360 degree views of the surrounding hills and orchards, it’s the perfect place for a group of friends to get away, but still have proximity to Valencia, and the smaller nearby town. They made all of the arrangements for my wife’s party, including live entertainment, and provided every meal for our weeklong stay and everything went seamlessly and as planned. A truly unforgettable experience!
One of my favorite places in Spain! Quiet, relaxing, and peaceful, it is the perfect destination if you are looking to get away from the city. Surrounded by orange groves and beautiful scenery you can't beat it. Wonderful family, great staff, nice rooms, good food, swimming pools, and more! A great little rustic get away for yourself, for a group, or even an event.

The perfect place to find and feel yourself
We had a excellent stay with our group of students in 2016! Flexible host, many rooms! As a group, being on your own at this amazing site is a blast! Pool, sunset, meals like local paella, fresh orange juice. They really wanted to come back!
Nice, relaxing stay. Surrounded by orange- and olive trees nearby. If you want a lovely brake from your urban everyday, this is the place. Good food. My time in your music studio and refreshing pool, will absolutely be among my favorite experiences.
