The food is beyond excellent. Really large portions, and really great flavours. I ate every meal at the hotel, because it was that good.
The downstairs cafe and rooftop bar/restaurant are cute and comfortable, and the rooftop views are spectacular.
The rooms are likewise really good - the Oceanfront room especially.
Although beware! The "Ocean View" room looks out the side of the building, not towards the sea. If you want real beach views, book the "Oceanfront", not the "Ocean View".
The staff were all great - exceptionally helpful, friendly, and polite. Also housekeeping was excellent. Everything clean and well kept.
I'll probably stay again soon. There's lots of rough and messy hotels along the coast, so bookings are always a gamble. But this Outpost is a safe bet.

Starting from the reception, very kind people, the cafè staff and restaurant are all always ready to help for what ever we need. Also thanks to the cleaning team for a always fresh breeze in the room and fresh water every day - room is shining.
The wifi is great for my working and the beach view is a dream.
Food is unbelivably delicious and we tried almost everything here.

Sadly I didn’t really enjoy the vibe at this hotel.
As expected it’s giving off strong coworking vibes but the focus on that is so strong the chill and vacation atmosphere gets lost.
The rooms were quite nice and the bathrooms were mostly clean but but as welcoming.
We do not recommend the food or drinks here as the prices are way too high considering the quality.
We were late to book and maybe didn’t do enough research but in generally wouldn’t recommend staying at Outpost.
I recently spent three wonderful weeks at Outpost in Weligama and had an exceptional experience. The facilities, food, location and community environment were outstanding, creating a perfect setting for both relaxation and productivity.
A special shoutout to Elsa, the community manager, whose warmth and professionalism significantly enhanced my stay. She was always helpful and made sure all guests felt welcomed and taken care of. I highly recommend Outpost to anyone visiting Weligama and looking for a top-notch experience!
