The staff are superb; always seeking to help and find a way to make the experience comfortable and relaxing, any request is managed within a few minutes. The hotel is ideal for those who want to work and play- with an office area, common lounge for coffee /food and outdoor swimming pool. The location is ideal for those who want to walk over to the beach, it’s 1 minute barefoot down a short side path from the main road. We took the standard room with private bathroom which for the price you pay offers a compact and practical option for a couple…Closet space, desk to sit and work. Shower has good power and the toilet is clean. Sometimes the water drain in shower is slow and the room is optimal. We paid 70$, no breastfast included which makes it expensive.
Last of 4 nights spent here in December and really enjoyed our stay. Comfy beds with good bedding. Powerful hot water shower that didn't leave the whole bathroom floor wet. Kettle was appreciated in the room, with free daily water filled. Nice balcony staying on top floor with sea view and enjoyed the sound of the waves. Right on the beach, good for surf, and wave jumping fun! Staff here were attentive, friendly and available. Food is good here if a little pricey. Pool is clean, towels are provided. Co-working/co-living activities onsite, yoga, dinners, meet ups as well as working space. I would recommend staying here.
We loved our stay at the Outpost. Everybody was so nice. Rooms were beautiful, clean and airconditioned. Last two days we didn’t have a lot of water coming out of the shower. They tried to fix it but took a while. Overall I would definitely recommend! Thank you :)
I had a really enjoyable stay at Outpost Weligama! The place was exactly what I needed – clean and functional, which is always a top priority for me. The staff were absolutely lovely, always friendly and helpful, which really enhanced the experience. And the location couldn't have been better! It was easy to get to everything I wanted to see and do in Weligama. Their breakfast and coffee was good as well. Chathura was very friendly and courteous and a great addition to their team. While it wasn't super luxurious, it provided excellent value for the price, and I'd definitely recommend it to other travellers looking for a comfortable and convenient base in Weligama.
I had a fantastic stay at Outpost Weligama! The check-in process was seamless, and the welcome drink was a thoughtful touch. The hotel’s beachfront location offers stunning views, especially from the rooftop, and it’s just a short tuk tuk ride or 15/20 minute walk to the centre of Weligama. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay special, even surprising me with a birthday cake! I struggled to find a decent shower in other accommodations, but this one had excellent water pressure and consistently hot water. The food was delicious, though slightly on the pricier side. It's a perfect spot for remote workers, with a reliable internet connection and a well-equipped coworking area (with comfortable chairs) Overall, it’s great value for money, and I will definitely be back!
I spent a month at Outpost, and it was an incredible experience. The rooms and common areas were kept clean. The coworking space was large and I never had an issue with the wifi. I also had access to the private phone booths whenever I needed to make Zoom calls. The view from the rooftop is fantastic, and the sunsets were breathtaking. We were steps away from the beach, which I would walk along almost every day. And the best part was the entire staff-- every single person was friendly, helpful, and efficient. A special shout out to Sarath and his whole team in the cafe-- I spent a lot of time down there, and they were always so lovely and attentive. And I don't know all the names, but the front desk team was extremely kind and helpful as well-- giving us tips for our travel weekends and checking in on us to see if we enjoyed ourselves. If I make it back to Sri Lanka (which I hope I do), I will 100% be staying at Outpost again!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The check in process was very smooth and fast, making my arrival stress free. The hotel is located in a nice, calm area, with great restaurants and bars within a good distance. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Sarath and Hashan, who went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. I stayed in the Oceanfront Deluxe Room with a balcony, which was comfortable and offered a beautiful view. The price was also very affordable for the quality. The food and cocktails were awesome, with great taste. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! I highly recommend this place.
