Perfect home base for your Sri Lanka surf stay. Bright and clean rooms with consistent housekeeping to replace sheets and towels daily. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We were able to book airport transport to and from the hotel thru them directly. Hotel restaurant is very good. I had the hummus and pita daily, and the fresh ginger or lemongrass tea was my favorite. Fresh veggie and vegan options, smoothie bowls, and fruit drinks were all good. overall very healthy and delicious meals. Tuktuks usually available just outside the hotel on the main road at any time. Beach behind the hotel has beginner surf school and some board rentals for the beach break there. Or take just a quick tuktuk ride to weligama beach with plenty of other surf school options for different skill levels.

I have been here for a month and I had a fantastic time. The rooms could be better but you really don’t spend much time there since there are so many events going on. Karaoke nigh and trivia night were my favorites, very cool environment to have fun and meet new people. Also sunset yoga to relax was very cool. I would love beer to be cheaper since I left half of my salary on it but it was worth it. Thank you Libe and all the outpost team!

I had a wonderful experience at Weligama Outpost. The hotel rooms are comfortable, and the location is perfect as it is right in front of the beach. The co-working space provides a calm atmosphere and is also a great networking spot. There’s a lovely pool area to relax, making it an excellent place to both work and stay. One of the highlights is the rooftop in the evening because the view is absolutely amazing. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and there’s also a cafe that offers delicious food. The WiFi packages are reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Both the Weligama Outpost hotel and the co-working area are amazing. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer a beautiful beach view, just a few steps from the beach. The co-working area is productive and relaxing, with a pool for sunbathing, and I also had a great opportunity to network with other co-workers. Even they are so great. Outpost has separate meeting rooms as well. The staff is super friendly, and the cafe serves delicious food. They offer reasonably priced packages that include WiFi and printing facilities, and even the rooms are affordable. This is the best co-working place I visited in Sri Lanka. Overall, this place is 10 out of 10. Highly recommended!

Really disappointing stay here. We booked the standard room which, based off the photos, looks like it has a window in the bathroom looking onto greenery. This isn't the case, instead the window is dirty and covered so there's no natural light or ventilation. The bathroom as a result is damp (which they've clearly painted over), moulding, and the shower tray is taped together. The bedroom felt like a cave it was so dark and depressing. The bed was large and comfortable, but the sheets were stained and had a bad smell to them, and we also noticed chewing gum stuck to the headboard. The rooftop pictures are also misleading and clearly old, as it is in need of renovations up there. Based on this I can only assume the other rooms are a similar standard. As for the co-living, this was simply a cafe and, in our experience, a loud karaoke event (which you can hear throughout the accommodation, even if you'd prefer not to). We stayed for 8 nights and this was the only event we know of (if there were others, there is no information shared about them). The only redeeming points are the staff are friendly and the wifi worked. There are much better co-working places to stay in Weligama at much cheaper prices, so we would avoid here.

The location is great, and the beachfront view from my room was simply stunning. At first, this Outpost felt very quiet. But the team made sure they organised events after my feedback, and I had an amazing time in the end! Thank you Himaya, Chathura, Sarath, Mahesh, Layanal, and the rest of the team thank you so much!

I spent a few weeks in the south of Sri Lanka and this was the best place to work because it’s just in front of the beach, there’s a swimming pool and the coworking space is perfect. Also, their ice latte is great and they serve delicious food. The service was amazing, I want to thank all the staff including Sarath! 🥰

I’ll start with the pros: 1. The staff here are amazing so kind and nice 2. The Cowork was great Cons 3. Place is a little dirty and needs maintenance. There’s defs some mold that their just painting over. 4. It’s supposed to be coliving but there’s no kitchen or fridge access or facilitated activities to meet people or group chat or anything 5. The Cowork wasn’t really included and we had to pay extra for the better wifi 6. The AC in one of our rooms wasn’t working and they didn’t fix it 7. The on-site cafe isn’t very good 8. Wifi did stop working once and didn’t work well in the room Medium - location was hit and miss. It’s far from center if Weligama and the better surf break but is closer to Mirissa.
