A 500-year-old little town recently repurposed as a home for remote workers in search of sun. The town is sheltered by rocky cliffs, and framed by banana and sugarcane plantations. A handful of local Portuguese cafes, and a pebbly beach.

I had a fantastic stay at Outsite Madeira and would definitely recommend it, especially for digital nomads and anyone looking for a relaxed place to work while exploring Madeira. One of the highlights of my stay was the community manager, Elisa. She was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make everyone's experience memorable. She organized social gatherings for guests throughout the week, which made it really easy to meet people, and she also gave excellent hiking recommendations that helped me make the most of my trip. The location is hard to beat. It's right in the heart of Ponta do Sol with stunning ocean views just outside your window. Waking up to the sound of the waves every morning was a huge bonus. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the coworking space was well-designed with everything I needed to work remotely. The only downside is that the location is quite isolated, so you really do need a car if you want to explore the island, especially if you're a big hiker like I am. I was fortunate that a few people staying at the Outsite had rental cars and kindly gave me rides, which allowed me to complete 3 hikes during my 7 day stay. However, I would have loved the freedom to hike every day without relying on others. My recommendation is to rent a car directly from the airport when you arrive. There's plenty of free street parking right outside the Outsite, making it very convenient. Overall, I had an amazing experience. Between the beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, great coworking space, and Elisa's outstanding hospitality, I'd happily stay here again and rent a car next time so I can explore more of the island.

This property in Madeira is outstanding, right in front of the ocean. I found the location very convenient for visiting different towns in the island of Madeira (compared to staying in Funchal for instance), but I was driving so not sure if being off the beaten path makes it harder to get a cab or uber (public transport is quite limited anyway, so don't count on that). The work area is comfortable (though you will likely take calls in your room for privacy) and the kitchen is well equipped, the community manager is the nicest person ever.

This is my sixth Outsite location, and definitely the cleanest. I really enjoyed my time here. Good kitchen & coworking space. The excellent community manager goes above & beyond. Recommend to rent a car (but not a Fiat Panda, not enough power for all those steep slopes) Parking doable. Ponta do Sol is a bit small (but surprisingly noisy sometimes!) and you want to go out regularly. I was not impressed by the food / coffee / daily foodshopping options in PdS.

Better than an hotel ! A fantastic location on the sunniest Madeira village, with a nice swimming place, good local restaurants, and interesting walks. Confortable rooms on the sea, an excellent co-living experience with a great kitchen and co-working space. Elisa is an incredibly nice community manager who helps a lot creating a good atmosphere. very friendly co-hosts. Outstanding experience. It is a good idea to rent a car as there is not so many cab in Madeira !

This was just my second stay at Outsite, my first being Marrakech, but I enjoyed my stay here in Madeira more. I stayed at this Outsite to attend Nomad Island Fest, which it was perfectly located for. I loved facing the beach and ocean. The community manager Elisa makes a good effort to put on some activities during the week for colivers to meet and connect. I was happy with the Wifi and being able to go between working in my room or the coworking space downstairs. This is a good coliving that I'd happily return to, being reasonably priced as well.

The rumors are true, this is the best Outsite so far. Madeira is stunning, with breathtaking views everywhere you look. Ponta do Sol is small and charming but has everything you need: great restaurants, a nearby grocery store, and Funchal just a short drive away. Every hike was beautiful, and I could’ve easily stayed longer. And for tennis fans, there’s a dreamy ocean-view court just 10 minutes away where you can play at sunset. The social atmosphere was incredible, thanks to Elisa and Bastien, our amazing community managers who truly make everyone feel at home. Can’t recommend this Outsite enough. It’s the perfect mix of nature, community, and pure island magic.

I absolutely loved my stay in Outsite Madeira — The social atmosphere was incredible, and that’s largely thanks to Elisa, the community manager. She’s amazing: always present, organising plans, connecting people, and creating such a warm, fun environment. The weekly coffee meetup on Mondays is such a great way to bring the whole house together, and from there we were doing things non-stop. The group of people I met was amazing. We hiked, we explored, we laughed a lot — I had 10 days booked and genuinely wished I could have stayed a month. Madeira itself is stunning, especially if you love hiking. The island is incredibly well-adapted for digital nomads, with a big sense of community and plenty of things to do during and after work. You can easily imagine staying here longer and feeling right at home. Overall, a spectacular Outsite — both for the place and, especially, for the people.

As with any accommodation, three factors are paramount: location, location, location. Being right on the sea in this wonderful bay is simply fantastic! The open, family-like atmosphere is wonderful, and the events organized by Elisa are just superb – she does them very professionally, with a lot of heart and excellent coordination. Ponta do Sol is probably the sunniest spot on the island - perfect for OUTSITE and wonderful sunsets.
