Staying at Outsite Madeira was an absolute dream. The community manager, Elisa, a Ponto do Sol native, is a gem that does a great job putting together activities that allow guests to give back to the community, like walking shelter dogs. The location is across the street from the sea, with restaurants right outside the building. Cannot recommend enough
This was my first time at Outsite and I absolutely loved it! The location is in a beautiful part of Madeira (and the sunniest!), and the rooms were very spacious and clean. The kitchen was larger than expected and had everything you would need.
The community manager, Elisa, always went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt at home. You can tell she really cares about the space, and is a proud Madeiran! She sets up lots of events for everyone to meet each other and is always there with more recommendations of what to do.
If I were to go again, I would definitely book a car. Although I met people who I would often join on trips, having the freedom to up and go would have made the trip a lot better.
The wifi was great, I’d often work in my room because I had a lot of calls, but the common space was great as well.
Overall, a great Outsite location, and I met incredible people who I know I will see again 🙂
Elisa (the community manager) made the whole experience so great. By planning group events and sending out a schedule of community events at the start of each week, it was really easy to make friends and experience all the Madeira has to offer. Common area + kitchen space was nice and clean and a great place to not only work but also socialize. Rooms were nice and clean with good bathrooms and balconies with views of the ocean
I spent 5 weeks in Madeira during April. I had an amazing time, and I found Madeira by far the best outsite experience I had. Got to meet a lot of likeminded people, the community and vibes are great, and there's so much to do on the island. It is the perfect get-away spot. Elisa is a fantastic community manager and she elevates the Madeira experience to the next level, always available to help and continuously works on creating events/small experiences during the week. I previously spent a week in Madeira and it was not enough time, this time I got to see and do a lot on the island, but would've loved to stay at least another month. Will definitely be back soon!
This property is one of the most stunning, located in the jewel of Maderia, Ponta do Sol. The outsite property is a renovated hotel, so all the rooms have a balcony looking at the water, as well as a private bathroom. Elisa, the community manager, is so kind, and really makes an effort to foster a community spirit. The kitchen and workspace are both quite large, and well stocked. I didn't work from this property, so I cannot speak to the quality of the wifi. The location of the property does require a rental car/scooters because it is far away from proper grocery stores and restaurants. The property itself did have some issues, mostly because there was various construction going on across the floors, so there was some banging and smell of paint.
This was my first stay in community living for digital nomads, I wasn't sure what to expect but what I found was more than an 🌊 ocean view stay in beautiful Madeira but an amazing community manager, full of life and intuition and openness towards others. And like-minded people!!! If you feel like you're lost, go there and find yourself again in a new yet familiar environment. You can try many things from dancing to improv in the digital nomads village to see what fits you and you can do that surrounded by like-minded people who understand what your job title is (the amount of times I had to explain that to people in my life...). Very refreshing.
And ELISA, she is the best, the community manager 💙
I stayed at Outsite Ponta do Sol for around 2 months - I initially booked for just 1, but it was so great I extended (as many do!). The rooms/building is modern, comfortable and clean and Elisa is a great community manager, but my favourite part was waking up to the sound and sight of the ocean everyday, right outside your window - can’t be beaten! Ponta offers an amazing digital nomad community and Madeira is just a magical island. Would 100% recommend a stay here!
