Classifications
Stars are issued to coliving spaces in a similar way as hotels —non subjectively— for actual facilities, not for opinions such as reviews and how 'nice' it is. Operators self-certify that their facilities are as described, meeting both expectations and needs. This is free and non-exclusive.

★★ definately good

★★★ probably great
With niceties. Multiple focus and casual coworking or lounges, plus transit or pickup — and more!
The Coliving Community marque
Any space may use the marque if they meet basic minimums, identifying themselves as an active part of the wider ecosystem:
- enough capacity to actually have a dynamic community
- shared lounge and kitchen (or meals available)
- community gatherings at the space
- laundry facilities [duh]
Community spaces can be quite different, so important to check details, the marque shows a space has made effort to be transparent with their offer. The date shows if they've certified their facilities recently else may no longer be proactively involved.
Star classifications
Indicate suitability and appeal for remote workers and anyone taking a workation — for good facilities around other professionally-oriented members, the two fundamentals being the best of:
- 🎪 community
- unfacilitated — where the owner, a manager or staff member may arrange events, yet is not an active participant
- self-organising — when members and guests organise activities amongst themselves; usually enabled by the use of a chatgroup, or well positioned events board
- facilitated — where a dedicated person is responsible for the community day-to-day as an active member themselves, hosting a regular planning meeting (usually as a weekly 'family meal')
- ⌨️ workspace
- non-dedicated — e.g. only a dining table, and sofas, this causes contention due to overlapping uses
- non-ergonomic — a dedicated workroom but lacking either adjustable chairs or a proper height desk (not a dining table)
- ergonomic — intended for productivity, from adjustable seat to proper desk heights and good lighting
- in addition other facilities such as multiple spaces (focus and casual), internet, bedroom desks, callrooms, etc.
