🏨  has short staysFine for a workation, but significant turnover works against coliving principles for a cohesive community; a longer minimum stay supports better interactions. What is coliving? 🚗  requires a vehicleNo transport and no pickup available so you'll probably need to take a taxi, but you may be able to arrange from other residents and they may also organise shopping trips together — enquire to check how it works.

I stayed at Cactus La Gomera for 5 weeks and it was a wonderful experience. I met so many lovely people - open, friendly, supportive. Rebeca is doing a fantastic job as the community manager. Amongst many things that I really appreciated was the opportunity to learn more about the culture and being welcome to participate in local events (although whoever didn’t fancy that could opt out without any problem). I was able to focus and concentrate on my work very well. Oh, and please continue with the yoga classes! For me, that was perfect to recharge. Thank you for everything - I have just booked my next stay at Cactus La Gomera and can't wait! :-)
I stayed at cactus for 2.5 months. It was my first time at a coliving space, and my first time in La Gomera. I believe coming here was the best decision I could have made as a digital nomad. While I could go on and rant about how amazing the coliving space is with its cozy patio, spacious kitchen, comfy couches and the hammock i’ve taken way too many naps in… the one thing that makes this place special is the people. Something about this place invites people to come together and build relationships like no place I’ve been before. It sucks you in and makes you never want to leave (one of the friends i made here loves this place so much that he extended his stay 4 times, and even returned a week later after he left!). For some it may take some to get used to, though this place has everything you need. The coworking space has spacious desks, high-speed and reliable wifi, and monitors… although the chairs are ever so slightly uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could imagine. The rooms are great; beds are EXTREMELY comfortable, they provide you will beach towels and branded tote bags, and have cleaners to wash the sheets and clean the rooms once a week. Laundry services are also available. The staff is extremely responsive as well. There is always a volunteer on-site to handle day-to-day items and make sure the place is always clean and organized. The hostess Rebecca is the main contact, she guided me through the check-in process, is always responsive and proactive to any issues that may come up, and will often check in to make you feel welcomed. If you’re lucky she’ll also come by to prepare a delicious family dinner! For any digital nomad out there looking for a more meaningful stay beyond just room and board, I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a chance. I’m sure you’ll find your new family here just as I did. It’s the best home base to experience life on this beautiful island.
It was my first time at La Gomera and a second time at Cactus after staying in Tenerife. I loved it and would recommend the experience to fellow digital nomads. Besides the facilities and the house itself it was the community and the team of volunteers who made it a memorable stay (thank you Rebeca!). Learned cooking local food, a tour to learn about history, celebrated the Romeria with costumes, yoga in the morning or evening, every week there were fun activities to choose from (if you wish) or just work/chill.
We stayed with a group of 14 people at Cactus Coliving La Gomera for an entire week in October 2024 and we felt at home since day 1. The management team were great and super helpful. The patio and the common areas are also perfectly designed to facilitate connections and improvised plans. Highly recommended, we will definitely repeat. Thanks a lot for everything Maria, Rebeca and the whole Cactus team!! 🙏🏼🤗
Beautiful coliving space with the kindest staff and volunteers. The rooms are nice, the shared garden is really comfortable and the kitchen is big, clean and has all the things you need. Compared to Cactus on Tenerife, I feel this one was more calm and peaceful, attracting a different kind of crowd. Will definitely come back one day!
Haven’t got a great experience with the company. The place is run by volunteers and so you get a youth hostel experience. There’s no community manager present who consistently sets a high standard. There may be a nice group of people around but it’s a confined space with small, warm (no a/c) claustrophobic rooms and simply a many people in a small area.
