Absolutely fantastic, both as a place to train & a place to work remotely. I've traveled to 17 countries over the past three years, and have stayed at a wide assortment of co-living spaces, hostels, guest houses, and Airbnbs. Casa Kandamy is on a very short list of my absolute favorites. (If I weren't an introvert who sometimes needs long stretches of time alone, it would be number one!)
On the training side: I spent five weeks there principally for the movement work, and I was hugely satisfied. Sebastian is a knowledgable, friendly, & patient teacher, and he does a great job of gently pushing you to do more. His style of movement training was a revelation, showing how it's possible to be strong and flexible without a gym full of equipment. And having the movement space right there, available 24/7, was a huge plus. In the time it took to boil water for coffee in the morning, I could walk over and hang from the rings for a minute. At 65, I'm trying to gain strength and flexibility. I made *huge* progress while at Case Kandamy, and learned so many things I'll carry forward for the rest of my days.
On the co-living side: The rooms and common spaces are pleasant, attractive, and comfortable. I was there for five weeks, and it quickly felt like "home." The place has a sense of flow and ease, and it's clear Sebastian put much thought into everything. The wifi speeds are consistently good, and there are a variety of good places from which to work on a laptop. The meals are relatively simple but tasty, filling, and nutritious. The women who cook them are kind, and they make better scrambled eggs than most restuarants. And the small size of the group there, along with Sebastian's presence, made for a nice sense of easy comraderie.
I can't think of anywhere I've been that better combines real productivity with a sense of comfort and ease. If I have the chance, I'll be back.
After 3 years of working remotely and staying at many colivings, Casa Kandamy is my clear favorite. Seabas, the owner, is what makes it so special. He truly cares about your experience. Sebas helped transform my body, nutrition and mindset. He organized activities every weekend, asked how I slept every night, constantly made me laugh, and had answers to every Tobia and Colombia history question I had. The setting is beautiful. Views of multiple mountains and the sound of a rushing river makes it so soothing. Every meal was delicious and the team is so kind and welcoming. Highly reccomend staying here if you need somewhere to unwind, relax, and establish a new routine. I will definitely be back!
I wish there were more co-livings like Casa Kandamy in the world. I've looked and they are very, very hard to find.
In addition to comfortable rooms, good co-work facilities and wonderful people, Casa Kandamy is fitness- and health-focused in a way most co-livings aren't. Sebas is an excellent instructor who has mastered his discipline, called "Movement Culture" (essentially a range of exercises focused on making the body both strong and adaptable -- think core-exercise-meets-gymnastic-training-meets-physical-therapy.) Sebas clearly cares about his guests' health and well-being, and he takes the time to explain the "why" as well as the "how." Every day begins with a walk and short exercise program, and twice weekly there is an hour-long afternoon class to focus on more rigorous exercise. Additionally, the guests routinely work out together, helping each other with technique and encouragement. The feeling of community this creates makes it much easier to motivate when it's time to sweat. And on the weekends there are excursions, including to Sebas's family's farm where much of the food at Casa Kandamy is grown.
Speaking of which: the meals served at Casa Kandamy (twice daily) are farm-to-table, and feature whole foods. I've never appreciated how much easier it is to concentrate on work and exercise when someone else is preparing healthy meals that just *appear* when I'm hungry.
Sebas's facility is in a beautiful location, tucked between the mountains about two hours outside Bogota (and at a much lower elevation than Bogota -- a huge plus for me). It was relatively easy to get here by bus (about $8 USD). Within minutes of leaving Casa Kandamy, you are bathed in nature, surrounded by birdsong and rushing rivers. I have never once worried about my safety here and I believe the other guests, men and women alike, would say the same.
Any nomad who wants to add healthier stays to their itinerary would be well-served to come to Casa Kandamy.
This is a 5-star review, but it doesn't deserve it... it deserves 5000! Casa Kandamy is such a magical place for those who want a break from the frenetic and overstimulated life that modern life constantly feeds us. It's the right place to slow down, work on your personal goals, and lead a healthy and conscious lifestyle.
Sebas has been a great host, always going above and beyond to make sure every guest is having a good time. He's a movement coach, but most of all an excellent teacher. I really enjoyed the morning mobility classes and the bi-weekly 75-minute workout sessions, during which Sebas shines in sharing his knowledge about IDO Portal and conscious movement, with a special focus on helping you develop and strengthen your body-mind awareness and connection.
Doña Imelda and Marta are two lovely local ladies who are part of the staff. They took very good care of me and the other guests during our stay, preparing delicious healthy meals throughout the day and making sure our rooms and clothes always stayed clean and fresh. A special shout-out to Doña Imelda for taking such good care of me with local medicine while I was briefly sick, which may or may not have included a special shot of Aguardiente 😄
This was my very first volunteering experience as a community manager, and it goes without saying that it was a very enriching one. Sebas is such a cool guy and very easy to work with, he never made me feel like the tasks were demanding, and there was always fun and laughter involved in all of them. I'm really going to miss you, man. Thank you for making this such a special experience.
Casa Kandamy is different than your average coliving experience, but for me it was easily the most transformative I’ve had in my years of travel.
In addition to healthy prepared-for-you meals (which were also delicious), Sebas leads a morning movement class Monday to Friday for 30 minutes that really helps get the day started. Internet worked well, and there was plenty of desk space to get work done. The pool is also a nice addition for resetting the body and relaxing during a work day.
Monday and Wednesday afternoon had a 75 minute training session with Sebas, and Friday we visited the gym. On the weekends we would always do something fun like horseback riding or whitewater rafting. For a digital nomad, I would consider this a perfect recalibration trip. My back felt much better after 6 weeks, my mood was improved, and I haven’t felt healthier in recent memory.
I had such a great stay at Casa Kandamy. What I loved most was the routine and the peaceful vibe — everything is set up for you so you don’t have to overthink your days. You just show up and follow the flow. Even on mornings when I didn’t totally feel like it, the group energy made it easy to get up and join the movement classes.
The house is beautiful and super tranquil, perfect if you want a few weeks to focus on your health and get some solid work done. Sebas is an incredibly knowledgeable coach and also just a really friendly, present host to have around.
10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a focused, calm coliving experience in Colombia!
Casa Kandamy is truly a special place. The setting is beautiful, but it’s the intention, simplicity, and community that make it unforgettable. The rooms are welcoming and spotless, the food is nourishing, and every detail of the space is thoughtfully designed.
Sebas has created more than a co-living space — he’s built a culture of presence, movement, and connection. I arrived with nerves and left feeling grounded, peaceful, and inspired. If you’re looking for a place to reset, reconnect, and return to yourself, Casa Kandamy is a rare gem. I can’t wait to come back.
I absolutely loved my time at Casa Kandamy! The space is beautiful, surrounded by lush mountains and the cutest town. There's plenty of nature nearby (including a magical waterfall you can swim in!) and not having to worry about groceries, cooking and food frees up so much time and mental space to focus on other things. Wifi was strong and reliable for work & calls, the movement space & classes makes it easy to stay active & healthy... I could go on! It's truly a hidden gem for digital nomads that offers authentic, immersive cultural experiences, and I imagine it won't stay hidden for long!
