I’ll start with the pros: The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful and the location was perfect for me with a selection of decent eateries around. Ubud centre very easy to get to with by grab or foot. Daily cleaning is provided. Neutral: There were two lunch/dinner events organised during my one week stay which I didn’t attend and my stay was rather insular. It was completely ok for me but for those seeking to socialise, a degree of effort would be required as there aren’t any obvious places for people to hang out other than the coworking space and newly opened cafe which both seemed quite empty most of the time. Just highlighting that the space isn’t designed to naturally cross paths with other guests. Con: I stayed in the deluxe room on the second floor and unfortunately found the room to be too humid all the time even when it wasn’t raining. I had the AC mode set to dehumidify but it didn’t make a wink of difference. It didn’t feel fresh to be in the room and rather unpleasant to go to bed in slightly damp and clammy linen. One day when it rained heavily, the water leaked into the room and pooled on the floor. It was a convenient stay but I probably wouldn’t return due to the humidity issue being unpleasant.

The staff are incredible, a really lovely, professional, efficient, kind and friendly team. Everyone, from the Management Maha and Putra, to Reception team: Erin, Tegal, Krishni, Tania; to Made in the cafe (we joked every day:); to Roja and all the room servicing team. A superb team that made my 1-month stay here feel like home. The suite was a great room to sleep and work and the massive bath was such a treat at night-time. The best bath I've had in a room! They put on social, business and educational events. I did a super useful First Aid course and went to some of the business events. The Monday sunset yoga sessions on the deck were also a great way to start the week. I would thoroughly recommend Outpost Penestanan, esp if you're looking to bed-in and want a good base to start with working and staying in Ubud. It was the perfect place to progress with my business also and meet like-minded people. Matur suksma Team Outpost Penestanan!! I'll be back:) Helen from UK x

I stayed for 10 days and think the place is perfect. I did a training course at alchemy yoga which is directly across the road from the hotel. The hotel is also located next to the alchemy restaurant. The room I stayed in was said to be the biggest and had a bath in the bathroom. Everything in Bali is built to a different standard and whilst it may not be modern it is comfortable and clean. It’s little things like wardrobe doors that are heavy to slide which caught my finger in. The basin is located in an awkward position for brushing your teeth. Can you manage? Of course. Is it a deal breaker? No. On the plus side, you stay in the “co-living” area which has a break out communal kitchen. Facilities include, microwave, oven, gas cooktop, 2 fridges, personal storage vibe with box, utensils, crockery & cutlery. Bottled filtered hot & cold water is available. The co-working space is available to guests just not the high speed Internet. An additional charge for that is available. Guests have access to free wifi in common areas. A beautiful yoga deck & chill out space is on level 3. I really enjoyed my stay.
Had a lovely stay here, nice location near the ubud centre with a vibrant community! I joined the monday yoga and friday lunch which was hosted by the community coordinator herself and the rest of their team (good local food 😍)! Met tons of other digital nomads too here and they also have a variety of events! My partner and i will definitely come back!
Super cosy and convenient venue. I remember the internet worked well upstairs in the coworking area and managed to get a lot of my remote meetings done. Rooms are big and amazing…..bathroom has an interesting bath shower….the pool and share kitchen area is so nice too. Great place honestly. The establishment is attached to a vegan restraurant. I’m not vegan but their coffees are great. For meat eaters like myself there are your regular cafes just a minute or two minute walk away in. May need to a scooter or taxi to get to ubud central area but doesn’t take long.
