I had the pleasure of staying at Outsite Cascais, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The house itself is a breathtaking architectural gem, perched on a hilltop with a stunning panoramic view of the valley and the sea—the kind of view you'd find on a postcard. The design is modern yet cozy, making it a beautiful and serene place to work and unwind.
I visited during the winter, and while the charm of the space remained undeniable, it's worth noting that the house isn't particularly well-insulated. The beauty of those large windows also means the chill can creep in, so if you're coming during the colder months, bring some warm layers.
The location is remote, which is part of its magic. You're surrounded by nature, with amazing hiking trails just steps away. The crisp air, peaceful atmosphere, and gorgeous sunsets create a special kind of grounding energy—I felt deeply connected and energized throughout my stay. However, Cascais itself is a bit of a journey; public transportation isn't a viable option, so I recommend renting a car or budgeting for Ubers.
During my time there, a sauna was installed, adding an extra touch of luxury.
One thing to keep in mind is that while the community spirit is strong, there could be more organized activities to bring everyone together. That said, the group of people I met there was fantastic, and we naturally created our own moments of connection, fun, and meaningful conversations. I left with new friends and a heart full of gratitude.
If you're looking for a quiet, stunningly beautiful retreat with access to nature and a cozy work environment, Outsite Cascais is an amazing choice. Just come prepared for the winter chill and the need for some transportation flexibility. I can't wait to go back!
Quiet, peaceful place with incredible views. Near to beautiful beaches & the national park. Very pretty & relaxing.
The house was stunning! Very peaceful :) It was easy to get to town and the beaches with uber if you don't have a car.
Batyah was a lovely community manager !
This is a remarkable Outsite property! For starters there's ample room so if you're looking for space to roam, breathe and relax this is definitely the place for you. The facilities, like the outdoor pool, garden and patio, really make this property stand out. The co-work lodge was amazing to work from and we had no technical issues with wifi etc. The only thing letting this property down is the interior/exterior upkeep. We stayed for 2 months and apart from very surface level cleaning, not much else was done unless we requested things to be fixed. We explored a lot on our own and found some beautiful spots to eat, drink, work and relax. Make sure you explore the hiking trails around the house and catch sunsets at nearby Guincho beach! Although it's a little off-the-beaten-path, Uber and Bolt worked very well and it was super easy to zip in and out of Cascais town. Having a car was a bonus and definitely worth to explore nearby beaches and more remote spots. Overall, it's a welcoming solace and really leaves a lasting impression – we'll definitely be back!
During my month-long stay at Outsite Cascais earlier this year, I embarked on my first co-living adventure as a solo traveler. Overall, I had a good time, e the wonderfully tranquil location and the ease of reaching various places thanks to transportation options like Uber and Bolt. The coworking space, garden, pool, and sauna were fantastic. Plus, I formed meaningful connections with my housemates, who became wonderful friends.
However, I must highlight some disappointments regarding the community manager. Throughout my stay, she organized only one group activity and wasn’t very present. I even perceived moments of subtle micro-aggressions from her and the housekeeper, which was unsettling. The real test came when I lost my wallet a day before departure. Despite sharing my incident in the community WhatsApp group, I received no response or support from the community manager which was huge letdown, especially considering the language barrier.
Despite these challenges, the positive memories and friendships I made far outweigh the negatives. With improvements in community management, this location could truly become a gem!

Beautiful coworking/coliving spot up in the hills overlooking Cascais and the surrounding ocean, perfect for a quiet retreat. The house itself is gorgeous, and has more than enough room for all of the guests staying there. The office area has amazing views as well, and the pool and sauna is a great bonus! Incredibly easy to get to town to with a 3€ Bolt ride.
