After visiting the Porto and Lisbon spaces, arriving at the Cascais house felt like I was stepping into my own wellness retreat! The house was even more beautiful in person and there was so many different work areas to choose from. I didn't get a chance to use the pool and sauna but I loved how they were seperate from the work areas and created a different social space. Silvia was AMAZING and my trip wouldn't have been the same without meeting her. She visited the house often and sent me so many reccomendations for hikes and excursions to do in the area. As there's not too many rooms in the house, you are able to connect with your housemates super quick and loved the sense of community that was created! As I was visiting without a car, I wasn't sure how easy it would be to get around. Uber and Bolt do operate in the area, you just need to wait around 10-15 mins for a pickup. So if you are doing a longer stay or have lots of places you want to visit, I would definitely reccommend hiring a car to get around. A couple of people did have cars though which made travelling to dinners etc a lot easier! Overall if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing space to work and chill, then I couldn't reccommend enough!!
I stayed for a month at the Cascais house and enjoyed my time there immensely. The house is spacious and the views are stunning. It’s calm and quiet, and a great place to get work done. The house was mostly full while I was there, and does tend to attract people staying longer term, which worked well for me and felt like a stable social presence. I didn’t have a car and easily relied on Uber & Bolt taxis which are very cheap in Portugal. The house is about a 20 minute drive from both Cascais & Sintra, and 10 minutes from Guincho Beach. There are walking trails in the National Park that run near the house, and if you love climbing hills you’ll be in your element! So, all in all, a great house in a great area. I am already considering when I can go back.
Beautiful coworking/coliving spot up in the hills overlooking Cascais and the surrounding ocean, perfect for a quiet retreat. The house itself is gorgeous, and has more than enough room for all of the guests staying there. The office area has amazing views as well, and the pool and sauna is a great bonus! Incredibly easy to get to town to with a 3€ Bolt ride.
This is a remarkable Outsite property! For starters there's ample room so if you're looking for space to roam, breathe and relax this is definitely the place for you. The facilities on offer really make this property so the sauna, outdoor pool, garden and patio are cherished spaces. The co-work "lodge" was amazing to work from and we had no technical issues with wifi etc. The only thing letting this property down is the interior/exterior upkeep. My partner and I stayed for 2 months and apart from very surface level cleaning, not much else was done unless we requested things to be fixed. We explored a lot on our own and found some beautiful spots to eat, drink, work and relax – Cascais is super laid back and you'll find spots just from strolling around. Make sure you explore the hiking trails around the house and catch sunsets at nearby Guincho beach! Although it's a little off-the-beaten-path, Uber and Bolt worked very well and super easy to zip in and out of Cascais town. Having a car was a bonus and definitely worth to explore nearby beaches and more remote spots. Overall, it's a welcoming solace and really leaves a lasting impression – we'll definitely be back!
During my month-long stay at Outsite Cascais earlier this year, I embarked on my first co-living adventure as a solo traveler. Overall, I had a good time, e the wonderfully tranquil location and the ease of reaching various places thanks to transportation options like Uber and Bolt. The coworking space, garden, pool, and sauna were fantastic. Plus, I formed meaningful connections with my housemates, who became wonderful friends. However, I must highlight some disappointments regarding the community manager. Throughout my stay, she organized only one group activity and wasn’t very present. I even perceived moments of subtle micro-aggressions from her and the housekeeper, which was unsettling. The real test came when I lost my wallet a day before departure. Despite sharing my incident in the community WhatsApp group, I received no response or support from the community manager which was huge letdown, especially considering the language barrier. Despite these challenges, the positive memories and friendships I made far outweigh the negatives. With improvements in community management, this location could truly become a gem!
