🧐  touristsAllows short stays. This may not be a concern for a workation, but goes against the coliving principle of purposeful exchanges amongst residents, reducing cohesion. What is coliving?

Longing to blend your daily work with the splendor of nature and the refreshing breeze of the sea? Then Rügen is your perfect Workation destination! Here you will be surrounded not only by extensive sandy beaches and fascinating forests, but also by an inspiring work environment that brings your creativity to light. No matter where you work, you can always enjoy the stunning view of the lagoon.

Lietzow is also a place for culinary discoveries. The local fish smokehouse a stone's throw from the door is renowned for its fresh and authentic fish dishes. Here you can end your day with a delicious meal and enjoy the regional specialties.

Also promotes workations at many other locations however all are hybrid properties having no overlap as colivings.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life. The place leaks horrifically, leaving a constant damp smell throughout the building. EDIT; To the attention of Jeanette NO I will not delete my review, I stayed here with TRAC renewables, my laptop was destroyed because of your leaking rooms, I was extremely kind giving you over a YEAR to at least try to put it through the insurance, but now after you have failed to do so you give me no choice but to leave an accurate review.
Wasn't my first choice to stay here, but work insisted we had to with no other reason than convenience for them. The rooms I can only describe as Josef fritzels basement x 10! Waking up in the middle of the night looking up at the masses of cobwebs and arachnids gives you quite the freight! Damp and moist rooms must have been the requirements of the building regulation as I've stayed in more than a handful of these dwellings, and they are all the same, even some having leaks. Make sure you get insurance on your electronics as we all have damage to our personal belongings with no liability from our company or the accommodation management. Good luck! (Only a fool would stay here)
Very poor. Accommodation is basic. Has a bed and somewhere to get showered. However it leaks. When the rain falls the roof and windows leaks in. Leaving puddles in the room. The sound of dripping water keeps you up at night. And you may be unlucky enough that your electronics are destroyed by said leaks. And when they are the proprietors, do nothing. Promise to sort, just to keep you quiet. One year on haven’t replaced or compensated for damaged electronics.
Special location. A really ugly early 1990 architecture crime on a top location filled with cool modern life. Workation with seaview. Direct train connection, beach (kite spot), self catering kitchen, fellow coworkers on evening campfire, standard callcenter office with some nice gimmicks … I was there in winter and it worked. Summer must be fantastic (I love the Baltic sea). Be prepared for very functional accomodation style - there is still a huge potential to make it more fancy (I was running a award winning top rated hostel in stiff Berlin competition for 15 years and consider me an expert).
Cool
Project Bay is a great place to work and feel at ease at the same time. I had an amazing week there and very much enjoyed to be surrounded by such beautiful landscape and nice people. The whole space is arranged very practically and with lots of love for details. The shared kitchen is very well equipped. I particularly liked that you could use the co-working space, kitchen & garden, do the laundry, borrow SUPs (all for free by the way) without any "bureaucracy". There is a great community spirit, but it is not distracting - so you can get focused work done at each time of the day/evening. The team is very open-minded and they try hard to accomodate every request. As for getting around: Sassnitz, Binz and Bergen are easy to reach by a short train ride. Some other destinations such as Kap Arcona are difficult to reach without a car (an electric car can also be rented at Project Bay for a fair price). Some tips for your travel preparations: There's no (super)market in Lietzow, so you should do some grocery shopping before your arrival. The dorms are on the road-side so there is quite some traffic noise during the day. Also they are facing East, so in summer the sun will already shine into the room very early. If you are sensitive to noise/light, consider bringing Ohropax/a sleeping mask or book a single/double room facing the waterfront. Last but not least, the lake view from the co-working space is amazing, in particular the evening light and sunsets (see photo). Hoping to return next year!
Amazing place!
