I loved staying here in the dorm on my camino! It is a little up a hill but it is worth it! It’s a lovely sanctuary after a day of walking.
The breakfast options were fresh and delicious and the scenery very nice. The only negative is in the dorm they do not provide a duvet just a thin blanket and so I was cold during the night.
This is such a hidden gem! The most magical place I’ve ever been to. Stayed there for a night on my Camino and I can tell you it’s definitely worth going up the hill even on the end of a long day. Here you can truly relax, unwind and just be. I loved everything about this place, the stillness, the beautiful huge outer area, the animals, that they grow there own fruits and vegetables, the house and just the whole concept. You can even book massages and yoga. I was sad to stay only one night but I will come back for sure. Thank you and all the best
We had a great, restful evening at this albergue! Food offerings were very much appreciated, including homemade meals that we could eat on our schedule. We slept in the loft area which had clean beds and 2 different showers which made our afternoon routine much easier. The beautiful grounds and nearby animals were a huge plus!
Stayed at this albergue for two nights during my Camino. Incredibly clean, comfortable and beautiful space in a tranquil area 15 min walk from the main town. Thank you so much!
We loved staying at this working farm while starting our Portuguese Coastal Camino. It was a very restful serene spot to recharge while still adjusting to living out of a backpack. We met lovely pilgrims, did machine laundry (no cost!), made a satisfying meal in their well equipped kitchen after stopping at the Mercado before heading up the hill. Enjoyed a bottle of wine while soaking feet in the pool. (Meals, beer and wine available for purchase.) Bathroom had fabulous shower and everything was super clean and was just a peaceful respite from trail. Highly recommend.
Beautiful little farmhouse, in the mountains, very sweetly decorated, very peaceful, warm and friendly atmosphere. Annabel who worked at the front was very helpful and showed us everything. Kitchen open for us to use and cook. Breakfast in the morning was included and had everything--eggs (you had to make them but all pots/pans there), cheeses, meats, fruit, bread. It is a bit away from the main city but worth staying here. Something different.
We were four adults staying in this dormitory-style room.
All of us are Camino walkers. We had read the positive reviews about this place, so we were really looking forward to staying here. Unfortunately, this place turned out to be disappointing. There is a massive bed bug infestation in the 10-bed room. We found live bugs in two of the four beds we used. I myself was bitten more than 50 times. I have a strong allergic reaction, and the bites are swollen and painful.
When we contacted the accommodation, they confirmed they were aware of this problem, but they had said nothing to us beforehand. They also did not offer any kind of refund. Given the situation, we ended up wasting a significant amount of money and couldn't get any proper sleep. Walking the Camino after a sleepless night is truly exhausting.
It's very disappointing that something as basic as a safe bed is not a priority for them. Please do not stay here - or if you do, be extremely careful. This experience was honestly horrible for us. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
If you are looking for an atmospheric place to visit and stay for a night in an urban style, it is exactly what you need. We organized an event in this wonderful place.
