Such a beautiful place to unwind. Rustic rural life with great comfort and fantastic hosts. I came to work remotely in a beautiful environment and REC.ON did not disappoint. When I arrived we had an artist in residency. It was great to see the pieces he was working on develop over a couple of weeks. There is plenty of space for co-working with fast internet, plenty of electrical points and tables to work at. I was able to do my zoom calls with no problems. If you need private working space there are places to hide away to focus on getting work done quickly so you can get back to enjoying rural Spanish life. The wood fired hot tub and the nights sat drinking wine and eating BBQ by the fire will remain memories forever. Make sure you stay long enough to have a moonless night. The sky's come alive and you will see stars you never knew existed.
We had the best 2 days with wonderful hosts Paulina and Bart and a mix of really lovely interesting Travellers happy to share their stories with us . Breakfast with the tribe was truly good for the soul stuff with Paulinas delicious baking and some yummy bread from the tribe 😋 😊 honestly never experienced this level of kindness and willingness to share precious time with guests anywhere else on our travels . Location is stunning...we hiked up the mountains behind the camp and its breathtaking. Facilities were comfortable beautifully clean and willingly shared. For a brilliant experience with like minded conscious travelers this is perfect. Thank you Paulina and Bart we loved it and we will be back one day ❤️
REC.On is a space great for travelers and artists seeking seclusion in a unique setting. The hosts, Paulina and Bart, are very hospitable. They share with residents their love for Spain and vast knowledge about the culture. Residents are able to learn about upcycling, the mission of their work and see its impact. The Boliami town is one of many to experience. A resident will feel welcomed by the locals, inspired by the natural scenery, and have designated time to create.
i had an AMAZING time staying at project REC.ON for one month. paulina and bart are kind, friendly and supportive hosts who made my stay a delightful experience. this is a great experience for artists, digital nomads, travelers and anyone looking for a getaway that’s both secluded and guided by a pleasant community. the living spaces, garden, treehouse, outdoor areas and the entire project overall is beautifully handmade with plenty of opportunity to reflect and make new memories. i recommend project REC.ON to anyone reading this!!!
I’m a graphic designer from the US and I’ve spent a great week with the wonderful hosts and their guests at this art residency. It’s a perfect tranquil place surrounded by mountains offering great hiking during the day and amazing stargazing experience by night. Perfect, very affordable place if you want to have a quiet time to work on your project and meet like minded creative people.
We stayed for two months in the apartment and it was fantastic. Stable, fast Wi-Fi kept our remote work on track, and after hours it was easy to switch off—gorgeous mountain views, peaceful sunsets, and plenty of spots to relax. We could also enjoy the goodies from the garden. Zucchini, raspberries and more! A great base for exploring and always nice to return to. Paula and Bart are incredible—helpful, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommended!
Usually do not speak negative about these eco initiatives, but I was hospitalized after eating wild bitter almonds from their orchard, which are high in cyanide, potentially lethal for a child. They told us they could be consumed as a snack for on the road.. We notified them about the toxicity of these bitter almonds, but to our surprise they neglected this warning and even blocked us totally to engage in any further communication. I think this is deeply immature and irresponsible. The case with all information and cyanide report, of the tested almonds, is handed over to Spanish authorities. Be warned.
I feel so lucky to have found REC.ON for a six week visit while working on my book. Stayed in the co-living apartment and loved the community life, the quiet in this beautiful setting in the hills, and all the great elements Paulina and Bart have created, like the garden, the outdoor seating areas, outdoor shower and especially the treehouse, which I more or less moved into! Enjoyed starting the day with a community coffee and breakfast, and it helped me feel part of things as I travelled there alone. I was so lucky to have great companions in the apartment and enjoyed the times Paulina cooked (always so good) when we came together for celebrations. This is a very special place and I hope to be back soon. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
