at Hub Hoi An Hα»™i AnπŸ‡»πŸ‡³ Covid-19 in retrospect. This post is dedicated to 32 amazing people. 🐯 This year was planned differently in many aspects - private and for my business as well. 🐹 Privately, I wanted to attend a wedding in South Africa this summer, planned on visiting Germany to see family and friends and joining a female entrepreneur's retreat in Portugal with some badass business women, I would have loved to meet in person - finally. 🐣 For the Hub, I thought this - our third anniversary and fourth year of being in business - would mark a pretty successful year and we had bookings and reservations until mid of summer. The year started already pretty busy, we welcomed many returning members but also new ones. 🐡 When Covid-19 decided to take over the world, and slow down economies, social life and traveling for an uncertain period of time, it was right in high season. 🐨 I remember, I got "a bit" stressed out dealing with all the different questions, uncertainty, tragedies and dramas around me. And let's be honest - inside ME as well. πŸ¦€ When the world fell apart, there was a group of pretty awesome people in Hoi An, who decided [and maybe some where forced] to stay the pandemic out in Hoi An. 🐬 And, so we did it all together: The lockdown in Hoi An, the digital community lunches [nobody needed this actually], the last minute house movings, the last minute furniture hunting to equip the home office, the daily changing "where to get what" and "restaurant delivery" updates, the foster cats and rice paddy walks, the sneaky rescue trip to Da Nang to pick up Mowgli - always alone but still knowing we are all here. Together. It were three long weeks [but hey, also just three weeks] and Vietnam has proven to be a save paradise to be so far. 🐒 This post is dedicated to the 32 incredible current members at that time [some have left, most have stayed and new arrived] who were at the Hub during Covid-19 - meaning during lockdown specifically. You guys truly rock, and me and my team will be forever grateful that you were here with us. 🐞 I want to thank you for believing in Vietnam, in Hoi An, in our team and in me and that we made the best out of it. 🐧 Love you all. Xin cam on! Sarah

at Hub Hoi An Hα»™i AnπŸ‡»πŸ‡³ Updates from Vietnam: We are super stoked to announce that @cuasia2021 is coming to Hoi An / Da Nang in 2021! I know this since a couple of weeks since I spoke to Steve, but as it was still in the planning - I shut my mouth. Now I received the CUAsia Newsletter and - boom! It is official!! πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯ This is big, this is wild, this is f*** exciting! My smile is as big as Chris’ smile here in the pic. πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€ Some weeks ago, when I had @steve.munroe on the phone, we were talking about safety, infrastructure and cultural diversity and Vietnam is doing pretty amazing in all aspects. Shakalaka! Our little yellow town just smashed it! 🍻 This is crazy for Hoi An!! 300 - 500 international people will come to hear, talk, brainstorm, think tank and develop trends for the global coworking community! This is big for Hoi An. And big for us as a coworking space. πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ Maybe I can talk to Steve and he let me jump on the stage for a keynote. That wouldn’t just scare the shit out of me, that would also level up my personal growth and kicks me pretty far out of my comfort zone. πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™Š Let’s see. Everything is possible. For now, I am excited for the future. Thank you Steve for this amazing call we had, for your trust and for your support in this country. We are looking forward to welcome all of you! /Sarah . . . #cuasia #cuasia2021 #hoian #danang #digitalnomadhoian #digitalnomaddanang #coworkingvietnam #coworkinghoian #communityspacehoian #communityspacevietnam #remotework #travelvietnam
