Surrounded by the mighty Dent-Blanche (4357m), glaciers, and beautiful villages — you will have countless outdoor activities to enjoy all year long. In one of the most traditional Swiss valley with living traditions, it’s own local dialect and an incredible architectural heritage.

I cannot say enough good things about Alpiness! Having stayed at other colivings, what Alpiness gets right is their intense focus on community. They make it easy to feel at home and create genuine connections with others in the house. And of course, the scenery in the surrounding valley speaks for itself - it’s truly an outdoor playground! If you are thinking of booking don’t hesitate :)
It’s hard to capture the magic of Alpiness in a review, but if you’re considering staying, don’t hesitate! This was my first coliving experience after two years of solo travel and the community, adventures, and experience here have completely changed how I want to travel, in the best ways! Ben, Fabienne, and Austris have created such a wonderful home in Les Haudères for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Not to mention, the countless activities you can join (hiking, climbing, via ferratas, snow shoe hiking, skiing, and so many more) at all levels of experience. Plus, the different shared events like family dinners, bake offs, movie nights, game nights, and more provide activities for all folks. It’s just overall an amazing place to be and I can’t wait to be back!
Absolutely loved staying at Alpiness, the surroundings are dreamlike and the coliving is outstanding, you can really tell the owners Fabien and Ben poured their heart and soul into it. Everything is done with care, they are super welcoming and you really feel like you are part of a community while staying there. They organize a tonne of activities throughout the week, there's never really a dull moment, but if you need to focus and work there's plenty of space to do that as well. WARNING if you're outdoorsy - the whole experience is extremely addictive and hard to get over, and it can make returning to normal life extremely difficult. I can't wait to get back and spend more time there.
I’ve had the absolute pleasure of staying at Alpiness in both the Fall of 2023 and 2024, and each experience has been nothing short of magical. This place truly feels like a home away from home, perfect for remote workers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. The high-speed WiFi makes working remotely a breeze, the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking and baking any meal you can dream of, and the comfortable couches and beds make it easy to relax after a day full of adventure.
Nestled in a breathtaking location, Alpiness offers the best of both worlds: peaceful tranquility when you need it, and outdoor adventure right outside your door. Whether you're working, hiking, climbing or simply soaking in the views, there’s something truly special about this place that grounds and inspires you all at once.
What really makes Alpiness shine, though, is its community. The people are warm, welcoming, and full of positivity. It’s not just a place to stay, but a space to grow, connect, and create meaningful memories that stay with you long after you leave.

You don't have to be into outdoor sports to enjoy your stay here but if you are you are sure to find a group of people with whom to hike, climb, mountaineer, trail run, or do via ferratas. The location could hardly be better for any of these activities but is at the same time surprisingly easy to reach on public transport and there's even a small supermarket within walking distance (though it's only needed so often since there's communal family dinners every weeknight).
I cannot recommend this place enough and I will surely return as soon as I can.
My first experience co living and could not recommend enough. Hosts were the loviliest and the location couldn't have been better for outdoor lovers. When we werent hiking or climbing the village parties and BBQ evenings kept us busy. Co-working set up was also perfect

It's hard to fully put into words how awesome a place Alpiness is, and how wonderful Ben, Fabienne and Winchy are as hosts. If you are reading this and are at all thinking about whether to head up the valley to Les Hauderes or not, I would totally, totally recommend booking. Feel lucky and grateful to have had the mega time I had there, and am looking forward to coming back.
