Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a quieter coworking/coliving space with a strong community focus!

at Burgas, Burgas 🇧🇬Full disclosure: I've had a soft spot for Burgas Coliving since I followed the renovation story four years ago. So I arrived with expectations roughly the size of a small cathedral. Six weeks later, I'm glad I came — and glad I stayed, which is worth mentioning, because at one point "leave early" was sitting on my mental to-do list somewhere between "maybe" and "where did I put my passport." Then things changed. Mostly because of people. I got lucky early. I met a few humans I clicked with immediately, and a few more I clicked with slowly, like a stubborn seatbelt. Over the weeks that turned into something solid, and that turns out to be the actual product here. About the location: it's genuinely great, and it's a few kilometres outside Burgas. Depending on your personality, that's either a feature or a bug. Want quiet, focus, deep work, and nobody bothering you? Perfect. Want to see the region? You'll need a bus schedule and a small amount of initiative. The bus exists. The bus works. The bus is not the problem. The problem is that a place this comfortable will happily let you spend three weeks orbiting between your desk, a neighbourhood walk, and the nearest Lidl — and then fly home having technically been to Bulgaria. I briefly became that guy. I regret nothing, and also everything. What saved me was a handful of guests with more energy than me who essentially dragged me out the door: the salt lakes, a village up the coast with what I'm fairly confident is the best seafood in the region and objectively the best sunset, and someone who actually knew the area and narrated it beautifully. Best evenings of the whole trip. If I had one wish for next season, it's more of that baked into the place — a nudge, a plan, someone saying "bus leaves at four, bring shoes." When it happens, it's magic. When it doesn't, everyone quietly defaults to Lidl. Katya, the host, gets her own paragraph. She is somehow running approximately 289,429 jobs at once and still genuinely cares about the people, the community, and the region. That passion is the fuel the whole place runs on. The volunteers are fantastic — not just at the actual job, but at getting new people oriented. Without them, most guests would wander around like headless chickens and never make it past, yes, the Lidl. And the community itself: not every day is a highlight reel, but a wildly mixed group of strangers plus a host who cares is surprisingly good entertainment. Already looking forward to next season — the host, some of the guests, and Bulgarian life in Burgas again.

at Casa Pardal, Catalonia 🇪🇸Casa Pardal is one of the most beautiful and relaxed colivings I’ve visited so far. My partner, our dog and I stayed for about a month, and it truly felt like home. Monica and James are wonderful people, and we immediately fell in love with their dog Neli too. The whole place has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and is especially perfect if you’re travelling with a pet. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, with Montserrat right on your doorstep. If you’re looking for a peaceful place surrounded by nature, where you can slow down and feel at home, Casa Pardal is a very special place. We loved our time there and would happily come back. ❤️

at Amplitude, Puerto Escondido 🇲🇽My stay at Amplitude was 12/10! Before I even left for Mexico I was contacted with info and resources I’d need for a smooth arrival and check in. The staff were were amazing. The community manager, Valentina, greeted me when I arrived, answered any questions I had, and was wonderful for getting people involved whether she was coordinating a surf lesson for a group or leading the way on the dance floor. Mara and Miriam kept the place spotless and stocked. Kenny, the owner, was always happy to drive us to the beach for spikeball, was considerate about the pause in wifi when installing solar panels, and made himself available as needed! The facilities are beautiful, inside and out. It’s even better than the photos. I love how everything points toward the center, promoting as much community overlap as possible. Whether you’re cooking/eating in the indoor/outdoor kitchen, focusing in the coworking space, or hanging in the pool, you’re near other coliving areas, which makes it easy and natural to get to know others. The location is perfect. 20 minutes from the airport by car. 5-15 minutes walking distance to the beach, grocery stores, restaurants, volleyball courts, shops, etc. Basically, everything you need! Run, don’t walk, to book your stay at Amplitude! Highly recommend booking monthly because you save money rather than booking for a few weeks and then extending, and there’s no guarantee your room will be available to extend since it fills up fast!

at The Void, McLeod Ganj 🇮🇳Had an amazing time at The Void. This was my first solo trip, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the workspace is great if you want to get some work done, the food is nice, and you pretty much have everything you need for a longer stay. Kirpuji is honestly one of the nicest people you’ll meet. Super chill, kind, and always willing to help. You’ll probably never hear him say no to anything you ask for. And Raji is just super easygoing and inclusive. She has great recommendations for places to visit and food to try, and there’s always something happening — movie nights, food walks, random plans, etc. It’s really easy to feel comfortable and be part of everything. I was there for just 13 days and somehow came back with a lot of new friends. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

at Moritsgarden, the far north 🇳🇴5 Stars! It’s only because places like Moritsgarden exist that a remote worker can come to a tiny, remote village in Norway and not just manage to live there, but genuinely thrive. You have everything you need to work comfortably, while outside your door is an incredible part of Norway that would otherwise be very difficult to experience for an extended stay. There are bicycles to explore the valley, kayaks you can take straight onto the lake, and beautiful hiking trails that you can simply walk to from the house. There’s even a traditional mountain dairy hut available if you want the full Norwegian experience. And despite how remote it feels, it’s surprisingly practical. There’s a community car available, and several grocery stores are only about 20 minutes away, so you get the isolation and beauty without feeling cut off from everything you need. The valley itself also deserves a special mention. I explored quite a bit of western Norway during my stay, and Bjørkedalen still felt like an unusually ideal place to be—beautiful, peaceful, full of trails, lakes, mountains and waterfalls, without feeling overrun by tourism. But what really makes Moritsgarden special is the community. You get the peace and slow pace of rural Norway while still having great people around you to share meals, hikes, conversations and adventures with. Anne and Jozsef are wonderful hosts—kind, gentle people who genuinely care about the place and the people staying there. They live in a separate house, so the coliving still very much feels like your own home and community rather than like you are staying in someone else’s house. For a remote worker who loves nature, this is a pretty remarkable setup: finish work, grab a kayak or bike, walk straight onto a trail, or just sit outside surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. Moritsgarden gave me the chance to actually live in rural Norway rather than simply visit it. One of the most unique places I’ve stayed, and exactly what great coliving should be. After more than five and a half years as a digital nomad, I don’t say that lightly.

at SOMOS, Mallorca 🇪🇸I had (and still have) a really great experience at Somos. The location is peaceful and relaxed, while still being only about 15 min. by walking from the centre of Palma. Mallorca is so much more than just a party destination, and Somos is a great place if you enjoy an active lifestyle. There are plenty of opportunities for all kinds of sports nearby, as well as several supermarkets within easy reach. A small but very practical detail, especially during the hot summer months: there is a reverse osmosis system, so you always have filtered drinking water available and don’t have to carry bottles of water home all the time. Sustainability 10/10! Maira and Leonore take great care of the community and are always supportive whenever you need something. The community events are also very well organised and make it easy to connect with others while still having your own space and independence. A great place to stay in Palma, especially if you are looking for a good balance between community, an active lifestyle, a peaceful environment and easy access to the city.
